End of year events

Post by powdersc »

Hi Guys.
As you guys seem to sometimes have more of an inside scoop than the mountain itself, I was wondering if you knew anything regarding end of the year events. There is no mention of the "sikwam" festival or spin events, no mention of caribou Cup or any events at all on the Calendar. I usually have friends up to my cottage for a good long weekend end of the year but I'm leaning towards a Vermont end of season party if nothing is mentioned soon. Many people are asking and not getting any answers.
Thanks and keep up the good work

Yo PowderSC ....

Sorry we have not replied long before now...

Totally absorbed by the daily stuff and very remiss for
not looking at the index for a month...

We must say it's been a good month though. Not sure if
you agree, but we feel in comparison to other March's,
this has been quite a decent one in terms of preserving
base conditions...

We must also say we have been more focused on the Alpine
Environment and the Mountain Operations side of things, so
with limited hours in the day... have not gotten involved
in too much after the 24Hour Children's Charity Event. Also,
both the Twitter and especially the Facebook are taking a lot
more time every day.

If we're not responding here on a timely basis in future, please
don't hesitate to give us a poke on the T360 Facebook or Twitter
acct's.

Sorry about that...

Anyway, by now, you've seen the "Spring Skiing" Event content
on the Tremblant.ca site and the dated tabs all work. The
remaining weekend events are the Red Bull 1976 Retro Event, 3/30/13,
then 3/31/13, the Burton El Nino, and finally the Caribou Cup on April 6th.

It seems to us that these 3 remaining events have shown themselves
to be durable on their own merits, that is they can work on their own
as individually popular, as they have in the past.

As for the Spring Theme, we have always noted that when you turn
up the Sun and there's still snow, the Spring Freaks come out of the
woodwork and seem to feed on one-another's energy, no matter what.

Hope you've had a good season too.... we've still got a couple 'r three
weeks/ends, depending on the bonus weekend, so with a fundamentally
solid base to carry forward with, we should be good through to the end now.

Cheers,

.
