We are always inspired by Pure Racing Technique.
Many elements of Race Technique are immediately
transferable to Recreational Technique, so in the
Spirit of Life-Long-Learning, we encourage everyone
to have serious look at Racers for all the merits of
balance, angulation, control, efficiency and safety
they demonstrate out on the race-course.

In the Mean-Time... Fabulous Spring Skiing Everywhere!

By Last Run, virtually everything had softness and traction
of Spring Skiing, but... never so soft that it was mushy, just
super Edge-set, high traction, all natural Snow!!!

Tomorrow: Sunny, Light Easterly Breezes and Wee Bit “Cool” at -10C
by 07:00 hours. Warming up to +1 C by 2:00P.M.

One Look At Yesterdays Last Run On Nansen
Will Tell You Volumes About Today’s Excellence.

The Basis Of Today’s Excellence is...
that yesterday was one of the Top-Ten,
Really Thick Snowy Snowfall, Mega-Carving Days
Of The Entire Season, So-Far.

Groomed into todays base, the overall surface composition is quite-near
“Transparent” under-skis. There were entire sections of Nansen that if
you looked up at the sky, you could imagine you were floating, it was so smooth.
Very etherial disconnect which in reality is close to perfectly neutral longitudinal
edge balance on the ski that is perceived as zero resistance. The New Snow feels
like “Satin”, with just a tiny bit of speed and turning rhythm.

Also Regarding Pic.Above:

Why We Like Full Camber’d, Slalom Race Skis.

If you look closely at the arched turn sequence above, you will notice that there is
no ski contact/track visible as the skis traverse the fall line, which is running down
the centre of the alternating left/right turn arch's. There is no contact track there
because the skis are in the air on every single turn with only the retained rebound
energy stored in the skis from each carved, outboard turn radius. With the right rhythm,
the Skis act as Leaf Springs that can jump the Skier on every turn.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
