(**) It would not surprise us if there might possibly be
a Trail or two from previous Open Lists that may be
Closed for Strategic Preservation, maybe.

If the full list is Open then those Few, Brave Souls out today
will have Mega-Shred, Spring-Like, Snow Conditions everywhere.
If the Open Trail List is reduced for any reason, those Few, Brave
Souls out today will have Mega-Shred Snow Conditions
everywhere that’s Open. Either way, it’s gunna Shred Like Cheddar.

Don’t Panic. It’s only one short day and we think there’s enough frost
into the Base that effects are going to be minimal. We could be wrong,
but we don’t think so because the 23/24 hour affected time span is primarily
forecast to be light rain. If there’s going to be a heavier rainfall, it’s forecast
to be after Last Run for a couple or three hours.

Don’t forget, the Weather Forecast could be wrong too, either up or down,
but we’d anecdotally say close to 70% of the time things end up cooler
than forecast, and secondly... it may rain around Tremblant, but not so much
on Tremblant.

What else can you do except to try to have positive expectations,
and be prepared for anything...

Weather Notes:

It’s just one of those days... Over half of Eastern North America.

But Look At The Two Week Long Ranger !!!
Wow !!!
Welcome Back Winter... Starting Tomorrow !!!

Please Weather Note: Even though it’s kind of a miserable day, these Warm, Wet Fall
weather cycles do have a positive side which is the contribution this precip.
will make to the Density of the Base. When re-froze and Groomed and Snowed
on again and again, the strata that is being created now, is literally the Foundation
for everything that Mother Nature lays over it for the rest of the season.

Our Theory Is...

Additionally, a dense Base acts as a conductor of Cold Frost-Set into the
Mountain. If/Where, the Base is loose and porous, like Insulation... it acts as a
blanket over the Mountain. If/Where, the Base is Solid and Dense, it facilitates
the quicker and deeper penetration of Winters upcoming Frost to reduce
the Core Temperature of the conical mass of the Mountain. This process
has real and genuine benefit in that once the Core Temp Drop Trend of the
Mountain is established, it acts as a source of stored refrigerant for any
future thermal trends like “Spring”.

It may seem odd to write about it now, but we think days like today
become part of the accumulated positive factors that get us the Great Skiing
Tremblant typically has, right up to Mid-April.

Weather Notes Bottom Line(s)...

There are Always Silver Linings from Mountain Cloud.

Tomorrow’s A New Day.

If you have a Descente Poncho
you’ll say “What Rain?”, and have fun Skiing anyway!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
