“Yes."

But...

This could be an “Unusual” day, mostly because of a close to
10 degree C Temp. spread across Zero C/32 F.

and... Things could be a lot worse... a big, big, lot, lot worse,
like total rain, but, it is not... so,

On the positive sides, where you can call them that,

-There was an officially recorded 6 cm’s of new snowfall
during the night. That will automatically function as a buffer
for whatever happens today.

-Freezing rain is never erosive, only inconvenient.

-The rain icons that follow for the remainder of the
precipitation projection models are small in
The Weather Network hourly forecast graphic,
and that means the greatest likelihood is passing
bands of light rain activity which could actually
bypass most of the Mountain if the cloud ceiling is
low because typically rain falls below the cloud,
not in the cloud.

-At any Sud, South, Resort Base, ambient temps.,
up to + 5 or 6 C, the cooler Mountain elevations
are usually -4C lower, so there is some possibility
that at least a portion of the precip. could be snow.

We could be wrong on any or all of this, however
all the “positives” discussed here happen frequently
enough at these “Tipping Point” temp.s that are
within single digits of Zero C, that we will say that
for sure, things could be much, much worse.

-This is a totally normal, early winter burp and it is
statistically short, i.e., one day, so tomorrow should
see large corrections in almost every way with the
return to sub-zero, as well as the grooming Night-Shift.

Weather Notes:

Odd, very odd...

-------- Weather Notes Update @ 1:24 P.M. -------------

There is a very unusual, even “Rare” weather event going
on this afternoon with a Temperature Inversion between
Sud, South Base/Resort level and the Summit. The Summit
is currently at + 6 C, that's 5.5 degrees C WARMER than the Resort
Base @.5.

Odd, weirdly very odd....

Conditions Notes:

A high degree of variable weather factors means you may find everything
and anything from “Winter” to “Spring” skiing as the day progresses.

When temps are moving up, conditions almost always get easier
and more forgiving, so clinically speaking, the Skiing should be
good, if not great, due to an increasing level of surface softness.

(#) This is the kind of day where the Open Trail list could change
multiple times, and from hour-to-hour.

(#) Consult with Mountain Info.Ski Crews for the latest changes.
They are “Radio Controlled”, so they will have up-to-the-minute
detail you can rely on.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
