102/102(*) Open Trails On The Super-Season(#), 524cm’s/17’2”feet, Snowy Slopes of #Tremblant.

(#)Our definition of a “Super-Season” is 20%, or more, natural snowfall
than the 21 year average seasonal total which is 418cm’s.

O.K., so it’s a “Breezy”, Snow-foggy kind of day,
so not great for pic’s, however...

Throughout all this weather drama, the Skiing/Boarding is going to
continue to be at an overall level of excellent, simply because with
524cm’s/17’2”feet of accumulated snow on the ground, and very
carefully integrated into the Alpine Trail Network by Tremblant’s
outstanding Mountain Op's, it can not be anything else. Period.(**)

For sure, there will be some temporary and dramatic individual daily
conditions due to this snowstorm, increasing warmth and forecasted
rainy bits, but at least the “warm” part is easy, and the coverage should
continue to be 100% wall-to-wall, snow-white for many, many weeks,
due to the support of all those deep, frosty overnight lows that have
lowered the core temperature of the Mountains mass.

Acting as a stored refrigerant, experience shows the mass of the Mountain’s
cool core generates a barrier that quickly sheds off any of these types of
intermittent wet episodes. At that point, we simply begin the annual
cycle of “Spring” skiing that has more frequent, but still easy to deal
with, temp swings across Zero C. Anyone with Spring Skiing experience
is fully aware of, and looking forward to, crisp mornings and soft afternoons,
especially with a “Last Run” on Trail #31!

If you’re looking forward to Spring Skiing, you need to get your
ducks in a row now so you can capitalize every possible opportunity
to take advantage of another Super-Season base of extraordinary
completeness and quality. Check your calendar now and plan
accordingly to get back to Tremblant as often as you can.

Weather Notes:

Depending on Mother Natures final sense of timing,
you’ve got between 48 and 72 hours left of “Pure Winter”.
After that, it’s going to be a quick, short, shot of “Instant Spring”,
followed by a period of very mild late winter.

+20 C in Windsor Ontario for Thursday(!), +10 C at Tremblant.
Wow, in less than a week we go from a -31C overnight low
to a daytime high of +10C, that’s a 41.C/105.F relative spread!

Conditions Notes:

Given: The biggest single component of the seasonal
Alpine Trail Network mix is natural snowfall.

We thought it would be interesting to see where
March 11, 2019 stacks up compared to previous
seasons at this same date. Here below are the results:

(Please Note: We originally produced this graphic in metric/cm’s
and we’ve added “Feet”/Imperial values in the annotated red circles.)

(**)Above: There Is More Snow Here Now, March 11, 2019,
Than At Any Season’s March 11, In The Last 11 Years.

In any metrics of quantitative or qualitative evaluations,
the great statistical abundance of natural snow that has
come this season so-far, to today, is your best assurance of
fundamentally excellent foundations for fabulous days
on the slopes of Tremblant. Whenever you can get here, now,
or in the remaining time in this season, it’s worth every ounce of
effort you can make to be part of these exceptional conditions.

And, It Ain’T Over Yet... How much more snow will we get?

Please note: With these wind and weather potentials,
it is possible the Open Trail Count and Lifts could
change quickly due to safety regulations. Check with

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
