T360, 4.22.19 Apres Ski, Apres Ski Season...
We’re adding this pic. into the introduction to this seasons
Apres Ski, Apres Ski Season because it is symbolic of at least
four(*) concepts applicable to today, as the final day of this
statistically record-setting season, as well as all the other days
of every other season we’ve ever recorded, or will ever record.
((*)and as many others as you can think of...)
A Great Start For The Seasons Finish!
4.22.19.Lowell.Thomas.Quad.Views.to.Mid.Lowell.T.Good.Start.To.Seasons.Finish.c.jpg
To start with, every single day the Mountain is open is a great day
to have your very first day or days on skis. Arguably, the seasons
final day may be one of the most unique, due to the great expectations,
as well as the eager anticipation that a positive experience like the one
pictured above, generates over the entire upcoming summer in the mind
of any young person. Riding overhead, the happy shrieks of delight could
be heard by all, and we’ll bet you $100.00 bucks this wee person will be
super excited to start next season, from right now, until the lifts start
turning next November.
Secondly, there is no finer Alpine Mountain terrain to start your young ones
out on a lifetime of Skiing or Snowboarding Winter Sports than right here
at Tremblant, but it’s not limited to just kids. Since 1939, countless
Beginners of all ages have successfully begun to develop the skills, abilities
and endurance to realize all the benefits of Alpine Snow Sports as a hugely
important part of an active, healthy lifestyle. Those who learn at Tremblant
can Ski or Board well anywhere in the world. Period.
Thirdly, in this final day of this season you can see exactly the
same level of optimization in surfaces as the first, and all the days
between. For sure there’s an abundance of snow right now that’s
unusual, but optimization has nothing to do with any individual days
place in accumulations history, and everything to do with making
the most out of whatever resources are available. Tremblant’s
Mountain Operations Group are masters of optimization.
Fourthly, in our opinion, there are very few activities you can do
as a family that even come close to the benefit of annual Ski
travel experience. The enrichment that flows to every member of
the family from the “Travel Is Education" learning process, to the
outright healthy, personal physical development derived from
sustained vigorous outdoor exercise, there is an almost endless
list of positive attributes that can flow forward for lifetimes of
shared intergenerational participation in Alpine Mountain Snow Sports.
More on today to follow, but in the mean-time...
Original Intro. @ 9:08 P.M. 4.22.19
If You Had Come To Tremblant Today,
We Can Show You A Couple Of Places
You Would Have Gotten A Lot Of “Fresh Air”!
1) Versant Sud, South Side...
4.22.19.Erik.Guay.Haut.Upper.Fresh.Mogul.Air.c.jpg
2) Versant Nord, North Side....
4.22.19.Lowell.Thomas.Bas.Lower.Pitch.Adjacent.Rigodon.Peak.Fresh.Mogul.Air.c.jpg
Of Course... Everyone at Tremblant got fresh air today,
but in the case of these two examples, it seems evident
that some got extra...
Please Note:
Due to Apres Ski being really Apres Ski Season...
We will be taking care of some deferred logistics and
admin utilities and the 4.22.19 actual Apres Ski may take
a few days or more, however we just wanted to get this
fresh air concept established to give you an idea about
only one aspect of an extraordinary Seasons Finale.
More to follow as time, and previous
family travel commitments permit, but
no doubt, it was super naturally special.

Reflections Of Spring.

Mother Nature is telling us it's time to gear up for Apres Ski.
Apres Ski comes every day during the season, but once a year,
Apres Ski takes on a different meaning. That’s today...
It’s time to say goodbye to Erik Guay for the summer...
We Hope Erik Has A Great Summer!

In The Meantime...
You should be able to do this just about all day today!
4.20.19.Nord.North.La.Griffe.Performance.Carve.Observations.c.jpg
The melting snow is leaving a whole seasons worth of
very fine(as in small) tree debris that consists of tiny
needles, bark, bits of twigs, etc., that do not melt on
the surface, but it is all clean, soft and does not affect
skis or skiing in any way.
Very, very thankfully, we still have the speed over the top layers,
so the frost beneath has been an excellent support right up to
last run and we expect that to continue for today. It may be
a wee bit soggy in places after +15 Super Sunny all day, but
that’s the way it goes, and it does send a powerful signal that
even with loads of snow, heat saturation does reduce utility
eventually, so considering it’s closing day, we can all accept that
a bit easier.

Weather Notes:
“Ideal”... It’s going to be too hot. That’s ideal because if it was
cool and winter-like it would just be way too hard to walk away
thinking about all the potential, but when it’s too hot, it’s a lot
easier for dedicated Ski Fans to be able to accept the reality
that this can not last forever. In other words, when it’s too hot,
we get “Closure”, a natural, sensible, logical, reasonably derived
conclusion to an absolutely spectacular, and record setting
615 cm’s Natural Snowfall Seasonal Total.
Conditions Notes:
We need to expressly say that even though this is a Record
Setting 615cm’s winter, the magic in converting the raw
resources into the magnificent Ski/Board conditions we’ve
had, has to be credited to the outstanding efforts of Tremblant’s
talented, dedicated, professional Mountain Operations Group
who work tirelessly around the clock to deliver a level of
refined excellence that has ensured optimized conditions
virtually every single day since November 22, 2018.
This is why you choose Tremblant.
Real, genuine, cold, snowy, steady and glorious Winter.
“Winter” like they talk about in stories and books.
“Winter” that stays winter with minimal thermal intrusions.
“Winter” that gets you the durable deeply frosted base that
you will ski virtually every day, including today, with quality
that can only come from the unique combination of natural
conditions and human effort that has made Tremblant a world
class Alpine Snow Sports Domain since 1939.
Our Sincere “Merci” To Our Hero’s At Mountain Operations!!!
