April 5, Facsimile Sampling Data/Stat's
See all attached below.
Reporting Caveat:
Our intention is to add primarily to the weather stat’s as well as historic
conditions averages so future trip planning researchers looking at time
slots normally open/available will have archival 2020 data sampling continuity
to assist with composite impressions for weeks that would usually be prime
Spring skiing Holiday or visit candidates.
The Mountain Is Closed For The Season.
In a sincere attempt to remain cheerful and positive when the
Ski Season has been COVID-19 Globally Closed, through the process of
“Visualization”, we want to present the following:
As a Facsimile of your April 5, here are some random
“Best Of” Pic. Files for this date from our Archives:

Please Note Pic Below: Any Experienced, Expert, Front-Side Carver who has
tried, will confirm that it is difficult to generate a fully carved 360-degree circle
because of the unique combination of speed, decreasing pitch, low friction,
carving technique and muscle, that is required to produce the complete rotation.
What you see below across the diagonal span of the frame is a completed 360-degree
carved circle by coming off the final pitch of Trail # 78, Fuddle-Duddle Bas, Lower, at
the Beauchemin Bas, Lower run-out to the Expo Quad Base. Ski Magazine(?) did an
article on this, recognizing all the challenges, so after many, many attempts, just
for posterity, and to prove it possible, here it is. Skis used are “Old Faithful's” - 2010
Atomic D2 SL’s @ 11.5M-TR.

The easy, late winter temps of April’s Open Ski Season
typically make firm mornings and soft afternoons, especially
when there is an overnight sub-zero at Mountain elevations.
You will see that 24hr. profile projected for tomorrow in the
actual 4.6.20 weather forecast below. “If” we were looking
forward to planning the day out...
This means that for the closest to ideal ski conditions there
can be a “Sweet Spot”, or in most cases a “Sweet Zone” of
Open Hours where it’s not too firm and not too soft. What
we have learned over the years is that if you want to take
advantage of the prime hours of daily conditions when those
daily weather profiles includes temp. ranges from overnight
sub-zero to daytime above zero, is to have a late breakfast,
i.e., “Brunch”, then get out just as temps begin to rise and
the trail snow surfaces are just beginning to soften, ski
right through lunch hour and on, until the softness may make
things a bit sticky.
An additional utility trick at Tremblant is that that you can often
find all day, or late day, more sustained “Winter-like” conditions
on Versant Nord, the North side, where the natural shadows keep
the April solar intensity from working directly on slopes.

Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.
( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
