DUE TO COVID-19 HUMAN HEALTH ISSUES:

Please Note:
Local, Regional, National, Global COVID-19 Closure Protocols.

April 7, Facsimile Sampling Data/Stat's

See all attached below.

Reporting Caveat:
Our intention is to add primarily to the weather stat’s as well as historic
conditions averages so future trip planning researchers looking at time
slots normally open/available will have archival 2020 data sampling continuity
to assist with composite impressions for weeks that would usually be prime
Spring skiing Holiday or visit candidates.

The Mountain Is Closed For The Season.

In a sincere attempt to remain cheerful and positive when the
Ski Season has been COVID-19 Globally Closed, through the process of
“Visualization”, we want to present the following:

As a Facsimile of your April 7, here are some random
“Best Of” Pic. Files for this date from our Archives:

Please Note: Wet Lens Syndrome renders sort-of cool vignette effect,
but great carving performance throughout Tremblant Spring Skiing
season is 100% in focus!

Below: The exquisite joy of having wide, long, soft, smooth and
fast trail surfaces to work with are exemplified by this vista
overlooking the Versant Sud, South Side, summit pitch of
McCulloch. We have no idea what everyone is doing back at
regional “Theirville” on such a spectacular Spring Skiing day
when they could be at Tremblant for this. Whatever it is, there’s
no way it could be this much fun, or superbly fine fitness fun.

Please Note: Ski Pole pushed vertically straight into snowpack in
foreground is 48” inches/122 cm’s, and it is not touching ground
in this sample. The point is, early April can have loads of fresh
snowfall over loads of pre-existing base.

Later season usually means less attendance, and that means
it’s often such light traffic that there’s plenty of opportunity
to do laps on near-perfect trail surfaces where you can cover
your own tracks and not see any others made between runs.

On that basis, that’s a huge indicator of why April Ski Holidays
at Tremblant offer serious value to those who may be looking
at this time period for a final chance to get out before they
start polishing Golf clubs or applying Anti-fouling paint to the keel
of the sailboat...

Days like the one pictured above are truly magical and they
happen every spring at Tremblant without fail because of “North”.
A genuine “North Latitude” has it’s advantages, three of which
are the (1)surprisingly frequent early-to-mid April natural snowfalls
over (2)the beautifully retained base coverage of the entire winter’s
accumulations supported by (3)the very stably frosted mass of the
Mountain that still has weeks of durability left.

Conditions Notes:

REPEAT OF YESTERDAY:

If, If, If... it was Open...

Look closely at the hourly Open Hours progression.
This is why you book a Tremblant Spring Ski Holiday.
Cool overnights stabilize the base every single day
and that’s the secret to preserving the coverage.
There’s a 2 to 4 hour “Sweet Zone” where you can
catch the initial solar softened Sud/South and Soleil
sectors, then move to the late Nord/North softened
surfaces that are shadowed and typically soften due
to warming, later day, ambient air temps. These conditions
tend to remain rocket fast and the turning grip facilitates
carving edge-hold that can exceed 1G of lateral force
for a well conditioned Slalom-style technique, if...
you have the muscle.

Additionally, what makes it easy for Experts, also makes
it easy for Beginners and Intermediates, low friction, high
traction over immaculate grooming with very light mid-week
traffic.

There can be icy bits early, so what we recommend is
have a late brunch, slip lunch and get the entire sweet zone
while everyone else is drinking beer on the patio’s...
It’s easy to get 30,000 Vert. Ft. in under 4 hours here
if you are a conditioned Expert.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
