Pretty much a "carbon copy" of yesterday...
Crisp, Cool and Clear.
This Mornings open trail count is at 75 with all sides open
but a delay on Soleil, so as you explore, hopefully you will
find that open very soon.
We start out at -19C this A.M. and the Weather Network
forecast indicates that we may only see a projected high
temp of -14C, but frankly, with the brilliant sunshine
we are going to have all day, I think there is a good
chance that the thermal energy levels will yield a higher
mid-day temp.
It would not surprise us if our mid-day temps got up to
between -10 to -6, so lets just see where we end up. If you
look at the Mid-day temps shown on the "Official” snow
report @ http://www.tremblant.ca they show a high today
of -8C, so it will be interesting to see who gets it right.
The wind is supposed to swing around a bit to come from
the North West, or up the Nansen sector, however, it is also
forecast to be less velocity than yesterday which will mean
more comfortable conditions.
The "Firm" surfaces we have had since Sunday will continue to
improve every day as the Mountain crews can cover more terrain
each evening. Daily traffic also helps to "Work" the surfaces into
better shape as friction and wear help brake down the top layers
of "Firm" into a softer state.
The whole Mountain will continue to be "Fast" though, so please
be careful with speed and watch out for others around high traffic
areas such as trail entrances, exits and while entering lift zones.
There will be icy patches here and there and you can not assume
grip levels until you have actually traveled over any given area once
and that means you will need to use caution where ever you ride for
the first time today.
