Winter 2016/17 New Open Trail.Lift.Mountain Status.Layout

Post by T360 »

Update to Actual:

Tremblant.ca Has Restored The Downloadable One Page Trail Status Snow Report...
and we now include that as a component of our Daily Tremblant Conditions Archive at:

http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

--------------------------------------------------------------

Occasionally the Tremblant.ca Winter Open Trail, Open Lift, Mountain Status
reporting, page format is reconfigured.

In This Case, It’s Part Of a Total Tremblant.ca Website Overhaul.

A review of our “Mountain Conditions” Archive from approximately 2010
when we began to retain the daily Mountain data as a component of our
reports will show the different formats.

When we initially included this very useful info., it was available in a “One Pager”
Downloadable PDF., with an excellent graphic layout. Subsequently that was changed
and from that point, we utilized a multi-screenshot composite of the data presentation
(also with a very fine graphic layout), that we formatted into a single page screenshot,
for ease of reference and to reduce the number of File.Additions/Per.Post and improve
our forum page loading speed.

It seems as thought the fall of 2016 is going to see an update to the format of
this presentation.

Attached herein is a composite screenshot of the new presentation as it stands
so far. The Trail listings are as yet incomplete and it is possible that the format
is still in a development and/or testing mode. By Opening day, there could be
changes in either form or function? We are quite positive that the final
rendering for Opening Day, scheduled for November 24th, 2016, will see a fully
developed layout that may become the new look for next few seasons.

At this stage, it looks like the Open Trail Status is categorized by
difficulty, i.e., “Skill Level”, i.e., Green Circle/Blue Square/Black Diamond
Double Black Diamond. You can filter Trail Status by Sector, i.e., Sud, South,
Nord, North, or by strictly Difficulty, all the Green’s, all the Blue’s, etc., etc.

We hope to be able to continue on, retaining an Archival, Daily, Chronologically Indexed
Record/Form for both recent and long term Conditions Trending/Historical Reference.
Our initial inclination would be to try to organize our Archival Record as per
Versant Sud, Versant Nord, Versant Soleil, Versant Edge because its our tendency
to Ski by Versant(Side) in order to explore for sector quality reporting.

We do not yet see any Downloadable/PDF Trail Status Documentation, however,
that could possibly change by Opening day.
