(See attachment below at page bottom.)

Vanier is a very important Blue connector run from the summit
of the Expo High Speed Detachable Quad Chairlift sector.

Exiting the Expo Chair off-loading zone, turning aprox. 90
degrees left will take you to the upper crest of Vanier.

Vanier descends to the mid-point of Duncan, Trail #59(upper)
and Trail # 61(lower). Please also note that a left turn off of
Vanier, under the Duncan Quad passing overhead, is Trail # 63,
Les Rapides.

This pic. below was taken looking up Vanier while riding
up the Duncan Quad Chair at First Run. This immaculate morning
grooming is typical and we think that's because of its importance
as a main access from the Expo Quad Chair.

Here is a sequence of Vanier shots as seen riding up the Duncan Quad
on a late January day with a nice over-night dusting of fresh snow.
Please note that the colour balance and highlights have been altered
to bring out as much snow surface detail as possible, but it is very "flat"
light, not to mention a "moving target", so at least they work as snapshots.

This first one is as we're approaching the Vanier/Les Rapides Intersection.
Vanier is descending from upper right to lower left.

These next two are taken as we pass Vanier, looking upward towards
its top. The total length of Vanier is aprox. 150 meters.

Vanier has a rather half elliptical, and somewhat asymmetrical contour
from left to right looking up. The left side is an arch like slow curve with
a more gentle pitch and the right side is the straighter line with a steeper
more fall line pitch.
