Trail # 93, Superieur, North Side.

Superieur is a Black Diamond run located on the right hand side
of the Duncan Quad Chairlift as you stand on the summit facing the lift.

If you were riding up Duncan, you would make a sharp left hook turn
as you exit the off-load zone to get to Superieur. It shares it's entrance
with Trail # 55, Jasey-Jay Anderson(formerly known as Geant), which is
on the right side of the two.

Like many other Black, "Expert" runs, it's difficulty rating may be due to
the steepness of some of the pitches, however, if the grooming is fresh
and there is no icy factor, we would suggest that this is a fine run for
confident intermediates to expand their abilities in the process of getting better.

Superieur runs parallel to Jasey-Jay, but it is a shorter run from the summit
to about halfway vertical point of the North side, where it rejoins Jasey-Jay
for the runout portion down to the North Side base at the foot of the Duncan
Quad.

It offers an optional left/right transit around an "island", rock
outcropping at it's mid-point.

Looking up Superieur on a sunny mid-March day.
If you scroll back up to the trail map above, you will see
a small snowflake symbol right next to the "Island" or
rock outcropping in the mid portion of Superieur's descent.
You can see that in this photo below.
