The skiing within this picture below is at... Very High
Levels of Surface Refinement Within All Respective
Skill Levels.

The ability to carve an Edge-set that can be maintained
through the entire turn allows tremendous confidence
in dedicating rapid, alternating, weight shift for reliable
turning traction.

The weather was warm enough, especially in wind-sheltered
zones. Where you faced the wind in open areas, it seemed
cold, but we think that may have been attributable to Humididty.

For a Sunday Afternoon, we thought it may have been busier,
but lineups were really brief, if any, and the singles lines were
often Walk-On. There were zones of traffic on trails so care was
necessary to navigate some congested intersections or narrowing.

As Usual... Spectacular views everywhere.

If You Would Like A Summary Of The Snow
that’s in all the Above Pic’s:

Please Note: This is a Cross-Sectional Review.
The Main Vertical Depth Reference is the Ski Pole
standing in the deep background snow, frame right.
In this case there is over 40 inches, 102cm’s of drifted snow.

In Summary: All Winter, All Day, Fast, and Fun!

Not sure what’s going to happen for tomorrow.
See Below for Highly Variable Weather Forecast Elements.

We may have more on the weather if time allows, otherwise,
full detail in Morning.

Thanks for your visit!

----------- Late Eve. Up-Date @ 11:06 P.M. -------------

Please Note: Mountain Crews have pro-actively removed the
Gondola Cars from the Main Cable to avoid Freezing Rain
deposits that inhibit mechanical function. We see this as very
positive for trouble-free First Tracks for tomorrow.

There was no perceptible precipitation until
just around 15:00Hrs(3:00 P.M.), and at that
point on the Nord, North as we were, it was
a sleety ice pellet of very small diameter
that would encrust the Exterior front of your
Ski Garment over the course of about 3
complete runs. We did not, and have not,
seen any freezing rain personally, and it was
only forecast for a handful of hours between
15:00 and 19:00Hrs.

We think tomorrow has a high probability of
being Great due to the expected Summit Low
Overnight Temp. @ -14C., plus a sunny day
with a very even -8C from 10:00 to 18:00hrs.
More overnight Grooming and Lower Weekday
Traffic should substantially enhance All-Day
Smoothness and Speed.

96/96(*) Open Trails On the Very Beautiful, Snow White Slopes at #Tremblant .

An Excellent, Mild, Snowy Day Today,
With a rather complex Weather System approaching
later on, so... There’s only one thing to do...

Live In The Moment...

No matter how busy the day is, there are always quiet moments
at Tremblant that remind you of the Beautiful relationship Skiers
have with Mother Natures Snow White Winter World.

Today will be one of those days.

The complexity of the weather arriving later on has far too many
wild cards to be conclusive about forecasts. One hugely beneficial
factor that is a frequent saviour of Positive Outcomes in these
tipping point, close to Zero C situations is “North”, as in Latitude.

We frequently write about the benefit of Tremblant’s more Northerly
Latitude as a favourable Co-factor in maintaining the “Winter” in
the Alpine Snow Sports Trail Network, and we think this next couple
of days may be a very good example of how that works for the
advantage of Tremblant. We could be wrong, but decades of observation
have shown that when it comes to keeping the “Winter” in Winter,
North is almost always an advantage over South when it comes to
the normal thermal cycles of the region.

To That Point... Please note that the bulk of the potential in the
Warning attached below is referenced to Montreal, well South of
where we are.

In The Mean-Time...

You’ve Got All Day To Race Around
In The Moment Of A Beautiful Winter Day At Tremblant!

Everything applicable to “Best Of Season” Conditions for previous
reports should be fully extendable for today. There’s more snow,
another night of Grooming and excellent pre-existing refinement
in Trail surfaces that should be virtually identical today.

Great Skiing/Boarding today, however the scenario
may(emphasis on “may”), become more
complex tonight. There is the possibility
that Tremblant may be far enough North
to have a different outcome.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
