T360 Apres Ski Edit - Short Form - Late Eve. Summary @ 11:09 P.M.

If you scroll down and review what we had to say about...

"These surfaces will respond quickly to the break-in action of both use and
another grooming cycle and we expect a very quick and noticeable elevation
to the refinement level here for Saturday."

Oh Yeah... Exactly As Expected!!!

Fabulous Day 2 on our Soleil Sector Opening Case Study of Algonquin.

Below, as “After"

The trail surface here is exactly the level of positive refinement
we expected today. This is the type of predicable elevation in
user-friendly surface performance Tremblant Crews deliver
on all new groomed trail openings, season after season.

Scroll down to review the “Before”, in the body of the original post,
you’ll be able to see the difference immediately. The mechanical
advantage of todays smaller, far finer all snow particles was
evident from your very first turns. Silky smooth and fast as
a bullet. Great yesterday, spectacular today, and on an incremental
basis with another grooming night-shift tonight, even better tomorrow.

Benefits in the Case Study Sample are generally applicable across
all Open, Groomed terrain, and... across all Skill Levels, and...

There is a distinct possibility that tomorrow could have
a synergistic combination of factors that realizes a...

So-Far, Seasons Best Conditions Day.

Plus... It’s actively Snowing!

34(*) Open Trails on Sud/South, Nord/North and Soleil Sectors at #Tremblant .

Good Morning Regional Early Birds.

Motivations for “Go”:

Absolutely Wonderful Versant Soleil Sector Opening:

The surfaces are “Day 1” mixed particle sizes, however they are all soft and
easily skied with a great degree of smoothness and grip.

These surfaces will respond quickly to the break-in action of both use and
another grooming cycle and we expect a very quick and noticeable elevation
to the refinement level here for Saturday.

Versant Nord/North Side Lowell Thomas Sector Opening.

Trails #68, Rope Tow, #69, Rigodon, to Lowell T. Quad Base.

The long shadows of the shortest days of the year, but still very evident
wall-to-wall coverage and very fine initial quality similar to Algonquin.

More To Follow...

Go If You Can!

Weather Notes:

A definite warming trend and consequently easier to
not only stay out in, but due to current Covid-19 restrictions
that prohibit Chalet use, way easier to be changing into
boots and garments at/in your car.

Conditions Notes:

Un petit éditorial...

The array of available Open Terrain has favoured Green and Blue
trails during the initial sequence of weeks to this point. What we
want to draw your attention to is the versatility within the available
trails for all skill levels to find utility. Yesterdays opening of Versant
Soleil with the descent path of Franc Sud to Algonquin is a perfect
example.

Algonquin is a Green rated Beginner trail, however it has abundant Expert
challenge when firstly, there is no one in sight and you are safe to dial up
the speed a wee bit.

This is when the character of Algonquin changes in a most beneficial
way for higher skill levels because with a touch of safe speed, it becomes
immediately apparent that Algonquin has a magnificent GS style rolling
topography that is not evident without that little speed added. At moderate
and very safe GS speeds with no one else around it is possible to get most
turns in the air by gracefully adding a little “Pop” off the longitudinal
series of crests that run virtually the entire length of the trail. This is
nothing short of addictive fun.

Secondly, the Expert technical and endurance challenge of Algonquin can be
realized at relatively low and very safe speeds by using a full-on SL, Slalom style
training mode with a typical SL style ski between 11 and 13 metre turning radius,
and doing the whole 5 kilometre run at once. We can tell you for a fact, that 5
kilometres of 12 metre Turning Radius carved turns will turn even the most well
conditioned, athletic recreational skiers quad muscles into jello with 2 or 3 laps
of this exquisitely smooth and consistent trail. Pure SL speeds are not that fast
in linear descent, but pure SL turns can be wicked quick within a narrow, serpentine
descent path .

Additionally, at its full Summit-to-base length and wall-to-wall width,
this one single trail at Tremblant may equal, or exceed the total square
area of ALL Of The Trails Added Up Together, at the local Ski Hill at Yourville.

All the while, Algonquin still offers the incredible Beginner benefits that only
a 5 kilometre, super smooth, gently rolling pitch can deliver in terms of sustained,
uninterrupted practice length when compared to typical short Greens that need you
to get on a lift every few minutes. In this way, Algonquin is a near perfect compliment
to all 6 Kilometres of Nansen, combined Haut/Upper and Bas/Lower, in the array of
excellent Beginner terrain at Tremblant.

This is only one example that we respectfully submit, is typical of the
versatility you will find and come to appreciate at Tremblant.

Tremblant is the only significant, Geologically defined, “Pre Cambrian”
based Alpine Winter Snow Sports domain that we know of in North America,
and it is only Mother Nature who can take 4 BILLION Years to shape the
solid granite rock of the Canadian Shield(arguably the oldest rock formations
on Planet Earth), into forms that flow like a river when covered at typical
Skiing and Boarding descent speeds. In our opinion, this is the most
separate and distinct inherent quality of Tremblant that sets it apart from
all of its Regional, Continental, and maybe even Global peers.

Furthermore, it is the generations of skilled, talented, and very dedicated
team members of the Tremblant Mountain Op’s group, who artistically
bring that character out on an optimized basis every single day. Since 1939
Tremblant has been recognized as a superior Alpine Winter Snow Sports
domain, and yesterdays opening of Versant Soleil is a very excellent
reminder of exactly why.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
