--------------------------------
Please Note: Please accept our apologies for
delays and short report today as we had a complete
ISP failure this morning, just after initial entry, which
has taken several subsequent hours to restore.
Weather Notes:
Wow... Another KKkkool one this morning, but within the next two days,
a +31 C rise in temps is certainly going to seem comfortably strange.
Even though there is another dip in the long range outlook, what
is different is the perspective of the upwardly moving 30 year averages
for this date, so the dips are not nearly as consequential. Additionally
the end of February is looking to have slightly lower than average daily
highs and that is the very most important single factor for continued
base quality.
------- Environment Canada Special Weather Statement ----------
2.14.22.Supplemental.Weather.Forecast.Data.a.jpg
The biggest difference in the data below is the forecast high for 2.17
which has gone up by 2C. This could change the probabilities for the
form of precipitation over the Mountains higher elevations, but it does
not change the potential for snowfall to occur on either an exclusive or
higher percentage basis at elevations.
Conditions Notes:
Within the freshly groomed array, there continues to
be excellence across the entire dimensional spectrum.
All skill levels of rated terrain have cross-over application
to skill levels above and below due to the seamless
connectivity between them within the main boulevards
that function as access corridors. On that basis, it’s a
great time for confident Beginners and Intermediates
to explore additional challenge with minimal risk and
maximum forgiveness in the smooth, low friction and
high grip surfaces. The key to working up in steepness
challenge is to absolutely maintain speed control to the
point of being able to instantly stop at will.
In the Sous Bois/Hors Piste and Un-Groomed, there is
less skill level forgiveness and “Expert” is a legitimate
requirement for safety. Some of the final rounds of
grooming refinements that have been typical over the
years that expand the Intermediate access to what we
might call entry-level Expert steepness, have not yet
occurred, so we will continue to monitor the Un-Groomed
category for those in future reporting.
