12/21/23 #Tremblant Conditions

Post by T360 »

37(*) Open Trails.

Weather Notes:

The compass point Nord/North breezes may be felt
over the P’tit Bonheur/Nansen Haut/Upper zones,
however once below Summit levels there should be
noticeable solar energy while standing safely trail-side
for a warming break. Overall, a refreshingly sunny day
with cool early winter overtones. Nice!

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

There should be very discernible increases in both
the scope and the perception of overall refined levels
of universal loose top layers of skiable soft finishes
as we now have several days since the last wet/thermal
event. Repeated grooming within consistently sub-zero C’s
always elevates the general level of quality and with that
comes both more forgiveness within all rated trail challenge
levels of Green/Blue/Black, as well as a better graduated
transition between the challenge levels. So, once again
we’re at the stage where it will be easier for aspiring
Beginners and Intermediates to gradually work up to
more challenge without the fear of harsh feedback.

There may be zones of developing slick or icy bits where
traffic concentrations occur around trail convergences
or intersections. Watch out around and below contour
crests for some of these evolving glitches too. If they
occur, they should be in patterns that are recognizable
and therefore somewhat predictable for advance caution.

The base is very firm with potentially icy substrates so it
is very advisable to bring fresh edges on skis/board to the
Mountain for optimal fun and safety.

Please Note: Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
12.16.23-UPDATE: Due to LOA logistical support
issues, plus Xmas scheduling, return delayed but
working on A.S.A.P.

Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.
