The last really sunny day was 5 days back on Jan. 30, and
we expect to see some of that again, at least this morning,
in the usual Tremblant style.

Conditions Notes:

Generally:

It’s a prime-time mid-winter weekend Saturday...

It may be busy. Patience will be a virtue.

In The Groomed:

Superb groomed trail surfaces are everywhere.

This pic. below is only one of dozens and dozens
of similarly excellent groomed trails that are at
fully developed seasonal maturity and in most cases
are quite close to flawless.

Here is everything you need to know
about high performance groomed
Double-Black Trail condition status...

(This pic is not ideal, but when we realized the significance
of the skills being displayed, we only had fractions of a
second to deploy camera on a bouncy chair lift to grab
a super quick action snap shot, so sorry for the slightly
off centre and soft focus.)

Anyone who has ridden up the Versant Nord/North Side
Expo Quad knows how steep this trail looks. Anyone who
has skied the Expo Pitch knows that this trail is way, way
steeper descending on it, than it looks.

Roughly 97.348% of people on Expo can not do what this
person above is doing which is to successfully carve the entire
pitch in a full-tilt Slalom mode that takes the very highest
levels of physical muscle and technical skills, combined.

We will also assert that this person not only has those skills
and muscle, obviously, but equally obvious in our observed
estimation, razor-sharp fresh edges capable of interfacing
those skills and muscle with one of the steepest pitches at
Tremblant that only a very, very small group of elite athlete’s
can do at this level. Those other 97.348% of Expo skiers will
be parallel style skiing this pitch, at best, and a good chunk
of the group will be doing snow-plow style turns just to
survive a struggle against gravity after someone in their
group said “I Dare You..."

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades And Un-Groomed:

Please review our notes and observations from yesterday
as we would expect conditions in these categories to be
virtually the same today.

Please Note: Extended Weekend Open Hours To 3:45 P.M.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
