Clinically speaking, and with specific reference to
skiable snow surface quality, we think it should
be virtually the same fast fun as yesterday, however...

Atmospherical conditions could be a real wild card.

Weather Notes:

Wow, talk about a real mixed bag of weather potential...

The things to keep in mind are that at low single digit
“+” C values, the inherently cooler atmospheric conditions
of the winds aloft over the Summit could generate all snow,
plus, when the hourly forecast suggest “light” anything,
the active weather tends to be in small localized bands
or pockets at primarily valley/ground level, so they could
miss the Mountain altogether, or if exposed, would be
brief.

Versant Nord/North Side Duncan has been an example
of tremendous fun and Zero gravity apex air-turns over
the big bump contour blended descent on the right side.

Basically, by apexing the centre-lined big bumps with a
left handed approach, it is possible to get Zero gravity
over each one with just a touch of speed. Arching back
and forth from the lower right has been as close as a
natural roller-coaster as you might imagine.

The camera does not pic up the more dramatic
contour profile here, but once on it yourself,
the connective rhythm becomes immediately
apparent when combined with the size of the
bumps and the way that they have been
seamlessly blended into the topographical
contours.

Here’s a little close-up peek at the soft easy snow
conditions currently on the Duncan Bas/Lower
right side descent line. Excellent traction, loads
of grip and totally fun!

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

There is about 85% very high quality continuity
in groomed surfaces, most of which is nearly
seamless along descent pathways, however
there are some occasional slick or icy bits
mostly in patterns around or just below
contour crests or in some steeper trail centres
where traversing traffic can move off some
of the loose top layers to the sides. The key
is to observe the patterns and anticipate where
speed and directional control are going to be
needed with slow approaches.

The warmer it gets today, the more forgiving
it will likely become, but with the variability
in the weather profile, there are wild card
factors that may only become apparent over
time. Use your head and stay conservative
in challenge level until you are completely
confident in handling the occasional glitch.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:

Continued very, very individualistic, requiring
slow, deliberately and careful navigation for
safe Expert skills and experience.

Un-Groomed Sample: These bumps will eject you skyward
with too much speed. Due to mixed ski/snowboard use
they are irregular and not evenly spaced, so rapid linear
adaptation is required in order to maintain control.

Typically, these runs get groomed at some point
at which time they become far more user-friendly
so keep a eye on their Official status for that
future opportunity.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
