T360 Proof Of Snow V-2

Please see all notes attached to V-1 in
yesterdays posting that are applicable
to this image. The purpose of V-2 is to
show the accuracy of the 160 cm scale
reference as indicated on the tail of the
horizontal ski.

The significance of abundant raw material can not be overstated,
especially when up to just a few days ago, the surrounding regional
ground levels had “green” as the predominant colour of backdrop.

Essentially, the snow that’s fallen so far since the New Year period
has been largely retained in the absence of any significant thermal
influence at just cool enough Tremblant trail elevations. For sure,
the temps have been floating around and often quite close to Zero C
at base levels, some days on the Mountain too, but, the typical
elevation differential of -4 C to Summit levels has been a major
component of the snowfall retention you see above.

Another factor that we’ve drawn attention to is the solidly cold
overnights that have not only stabilized base conditions, but have
helped to inject frost deeper into the core mass of the Mountain
which is a super-important element of seasonal durability because
of the value it represents as stored refrigerant that is heat resistant
in the upcoming advance of spring. For right now though, the main
benefit in our opinion is in the consistent foundational quality that
we find every day in the groomed inventory, despite any little warm
bits that ebb and flow in the daily weather variations that can begin
to include solar energy at this time of season. Take a look at the 14
day long range daily high temps which now include the beginning
of March and you’ll see what we mean.

Weather Notes:

Not as cold as yesterday, but still cool enough to
warrant attention to garment overlaps and closures
that will keep those pesky cool breezes that are
way more than breezes, if you’re descending at
any speed, from working their way inside your
envelop.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
