northbound on the Interstate below Indianapolis,
Indiana last Saturday and passed this truck which
was also northbound.

We first reported on this event November 16th, 2009
and we believe just as strongly now that it will be will
become one of the "Crown Jewels" of the Tremblant
summer season.

We had the pleasure of meeting Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal
many years ago at a similar SCCA Vintage event in Watkins Glen
New York and he was driving his restored Porsche that ran in the
1962 LeMans!

The Tremblant360.com Vintage Corvette C-4, ZR-2 Race Team
will be attending this event and we look forward to being a
part of the action.

The Tremblant360.com Vintage Corvette has been retrofitted
with modern engine and drivetrain technology that allows it to
achieve over 30 MPG. We support responsible participation in
the vintage car hobby that promotes low emission, high milage
technologies.

There will be some that debate the value of the thoroughbred
race car, however, one must keep in mind that racing has been
responsible for most of the significant safety and efficiency
advances of vehicle design. Nowhere is that more evident than
in many of the vintage race cars that will attend this event.

Historically, rear view mirrors, seat belts, disc brakes and
aerodynamics, to name only a few, are things we all take for
granted in modern cars, and all come from racing. The refined
development of fuel injection which is responsible for the
efficiencies that allow millions of liters of fuel to be saved annually
by the driving public, has been most significantly advanced through
racing.

In the modern context, design and materials such as composite,
lightweight and extremely strong components allow race cars to
perform at exceptional levels while keeping their drivers safe.
Aerodynamics and super efficient horsepower mean less wind
resistance, better fuel economy and longer distances between
"pit-stops".

The benefits of these factors to all drivers, and the
environment, are obvious. Eventually, the proven best technologies
from the race environment get adopted into production vehicles,
simply because it makes the vehicles we drive better.
