BOXING DAY '08 Conditions

Post by T360 »

A very Nice Winter day with more than average runs open
for this date @ 75.

You really want to try to get out now if you can as the next
couple of days could see a fair spike in the temps with some rain.

Today is so far just plain overcast, although there are Sunny
breaks in the forecast.

The wind is from the South East, or blowing across the top of
the Mountain from right between Duncan and Soleil and is
supposed to be moderate at around 9 KM.

The current temps have risen from -16 to -12C and that
trend will continue through tonight. We'll just have to see
how far it goes up.

With any luck this might be 1 time that the weather people
are not right, Goodness knows that can happen sometimes,
this would be a good time for that.

The Skiing is excellent, all things considered, so keeping in mind
it's still early season, watch out for surface irregularities that can
pop up almost anywhere and be mindful of Holiday Traffic that
has lots of beginners and intermediates that need "room to maneuver".

Relax, take it easy and if you want to ski tomorrow, maybe cruise into
Magazin de la place @ St. Bernard square later this afternoon and pick
up a Descente Pancho for your skiing comfort.

Lets be realistic and understand that at both the beginning of the
season and the end of the season, mild temps with rain can occur,
so the best thing to do is be prepared. That's why every skier should
own a Descente Pancho. It lets you ski in complete comfort, regardless.

But Hey, On the Bright side... Has anyone noticed the days are getting longer?

That's a joke, but it does acknowledge that we are "OFFICIALLY" in WINTER !
