1/3/15 #Tremblant Conditions

T360 Late Night, Apres Mid-Night, Apres Ski 12:30 A.M. News...
The Good, The Bad, The Unfortunate...
The Good News, and we think it’s Very Good News, is that the Forecasted
High Temp’s for the Storm Period Noted In Environment Canada Winter Weather
Warnings for the Local Tremblant Area, has been revised DOWNWARD from
+5C to +1C at South Resort Base Level.
This is a huge bonus... if it happens. Given that the Cooler Summit Elevation
Temp. Differential is -4C(on average), this means there is a far greater likelihood
of Precipitation being Snow on Tremblant’s Alpine Ski Trail System(Subject to
Mother Nature’s Whims that could be different if the realities are not as forecast).
The second part of the good news above is that as a consequence of the
reduced total Thermal Exposure, it also means less effects down the road, i.e.,
less “Icy” for both Mountain Crews and Guests next week.
The Bad News, if you can call it that... is that depending on your Ski/Board Skill Level,
you may have found more “Icy” than we thought would occur today.
The Unfortunate News, is that due to a temporary Technical Difficulty, we were
not able to get Pic’s today, especially the “After” pic’s we wanted for our focus on
Trail #82, Expo, Opening today. Sorry about that. We hope and expect to correct that
situation tomorrow.
If there’s a “Silver Lining” in the Cloudy Weather News, it’s definitely
the potentially very positive news about tomorrow’s Lower Daytime Temp.
We don’t want to speak too soon, but this could change the Local Impact of
the Storm to become a major source of high volumes of SNOW!
We will wait with Crossed Fingers for the Morning Weather News to really get
excited, but for now, sweet dreams of Snow are swirling around our heads
as we hit the hay for tonight.

Try Doing This All Day....
Above: Day-Time Snowmaking at the top of Johannsen and Flying Mile give this
pic. a somewhat filtered background look, but the foregrounds Shred Quality
of St. Bernard as it runs under the Flying Mile Quad is unmistakable.
The Open, Groomed Terrain is very uniform in performance quality that
allows Tremblant Guests to explore the limits of their physical fitness. The
Grip and Traction illustrated in the above pic. can be found almost everywhere
and the demands of utilizing the body’s energy reserves to explore the extent
of the Open Terrain is a workout of extraordinary calibre.
This Concept is applicable to All Skill Levels and All Levels of Green, Blue and
Black Rated Terrain.
Early Season Muscle is just now starting to respond to the conditioning
of a little over a month of what many Race Coaches would call Training
and the Mountain has established a very secure base over the same time
that is very equal to any level of Alpine Snow Sport Conditioning you wish
to pursue.
