REPEAT FROM YESTERDAY...
because it still applies, and edited for
todays context.

What we’re really going to have is unusually firm “Spring Skiing”
for today. The “Firmness” is going to come from about 2 weeks
worth of -25C’s(+/-) that has been very forcefully driven into the
Mountains mass by Mother Nature. All those nights dipping down
to -32C have been absorbed into the Trail substrates where they
are now going to act as stored refrigerant reserve.

Our Theory is that the stored cold reserve is so “Cold”, that it
is going to be able to withstand the rain and act as a barrier.
Of course, it can’t go on forever that way, but in our opinion,
it would take far longer than the 48 hours of this thaw event
to do any significant damage to trail surfaces.

No doubt, we will see some effects, but when you factor in the
potentially HUGE snowfall forecast immediately following the thaw,
PLUS Tremblant’s Pro Mountain Op’s Team efforts, we think there
should be a very quick recovery.

IF You Are Driving To Get To Tremblant For Tomorrow:

Expect Significant Delays.
Allow between 1.5 and 2 times the normal Transit Time.
Ensure You Have A Comprehensive Winter Safety Kit Inside
The Passenger Compartment((#)NOT THE TRUNK) Of Your Vehicle.

(#)The LAST thing you want to have to do is get out of your Vehicle
on a Blizzard Road-Side to go to the trunk when there may be White-Out
conditions with passing Vehicles that could hit you.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
