T360 Apres Ski Edit, Intro.@8:10P.M.
If you have any questions about the performance
levels you’ll find at Tremblant, this should give you
a pretty accurate picture...
It’s “Hook Up N’ Go" Time!!!
Shred This.
No doubt... after a couple of -27 C swings for last two days,
there are “Firm Bits” and the odd “Icy Bit”, but what you see
above is the vast majority of Grip N’ Rip Turning performance
just about everywhere that's open at Tremblant.
Below: Race Training At Tremblant.
Race teams from all over the region
swarm Tremblant for great Early Season
training conditions.
It’s very fine early season technical skiing that wants good
edges and firmly applied energy without any sudden jamming.
Smooth Technique gets you Fabulous Fast Fun! and maybe that
should actually be “FAST”, ‘cause it was all of that!
Below:
More on Lowell Thomas High Speed Quad Opening
in our morning report, but just so you know... It’s Excellent!
We can tell you for a fact, 7 and 8 minute laps are possible
on any terrain within the Lowell Thomas to P’tit Bonheur Sectors.
We were personally doing 8 minute Carving Laps on P’tit Bonheur.
For Tremblant Regulars, the new Lowell Thomas Quad is Freeekey Fast!
------------- Official T360 New Lowell Thomas Quad Apres Ski # 1 !!! -----------

Lowell Thomas High Speed Quad!!! Excellent Work!!!
Congratulations Mountain Op’s!!! Working Tirelessly
Since April 9, 2018... Mission Complete!!! @16:00hrs(11.24.18),
the crowds have all gone and the new Lowell Thomas
Quad has performed flawlessly. It’s an amazing and
wonderful thing to find ourselves with a quiet moment,
and a job well done! Bravo Equipe Tremblant!
--------------------------------------------------------
NANSEN Upper Sectors OPEN!!!
Nansen Haut gets the Smooth Carving Award for today!
Beautiful, satin-like Skiing performance for turns as tight
as you can make ‘em!
More in the Morning!!!
Hope you can make it out for
Opening Weekend Sunday Finale!
------------------- Orig. Post @ 6:50 A.M. ----------------------
18(*) Open Trails on Versant Sud, South, Versant Nord, North sides at #Tremblant.
Please Note: Summit-To-Base Ski-out on both sides.
-------------- 9:00 A.M. Update ----------------
Brand New Lowell Thomas High Speed
Detachable Quad Chairlift OPEN!!!
Apres Ski report on Lowell Thomas to follow.
----------------------------------------------------
At least during Open hours...
Warm, Sunny, Snow White!
Nansen Haut, Upper OPEN!!!
Great news for all Tremblant guests as the opening of Nansen
Haut, Upper, is the first stage of the only alternate Versant Sud,
South Side descent path to the Resort Base that will ultimately
include Nansen Bas, Lower.
We had wondered if all of Nansen could have opened at
once, but evidently that was not the case, so we will try
to get to the Mi Chemin/Nansen Bas, Lower intersection
for some photography today to see how close that may look.
The opening of Nansen is a vitally important phase
of trail development because it is the most gentle Green,
“Easy” way for Beginners to descend to the Versant Sud,
South Side Resort base. As such, the pressure of all
Skill Levels having to share the descent path that
intersects at the TGV Quad Base is vastly reduced
the moment that Nansen opens all the way. To be fair
though, it is our understanding that Nansen may have been
the basic roadway for the huge summer construction work,
so there may be considerations there that are still factors
in the shift back to Winter Trail use.
Weather Notes:
Travellers Advisory Applicable For Apres Ski Hours
Starting At 6:00P.M.(18:00Hrs) Today.
Otherwise, a beautiful, easy, Fall Skiing day
with mild temps and the benefits of the previous
days of super-cool frost injection into the base.
Conditions Notes:
The Cold Shock to the base over the recent days
should produce very stable conditions for at least
a couple of days, providing temps do not rise much
above forecast. With a solid foundation, we think
most of the open terrain should be mogul resistant
for smooth performance consistency across all skill
level ratings. Gradual softening should mean loads
of cornering/carving grip in the very top layers and
we hope the speed remains with low drag surfaces.
We’ll get back to you on that...
Open Terrain expansion is possible, however with 48
hours of weather just around the freezing mark, that
may or may not happen. One good element in the weather
is the overnight sub-zero low temps, so snowmaking
may be able to continue on during closed hours, and
there is more snowfall in the forecast for Monday.
18(*) Open Trails on the Archival Copy of Official Open Trails,
Grooming, Snowmaking, Lift Status and Mountain Conditions
for November 24th, 2018, Courtesy of Tremblant.ca
Thanks for your visit!
Lots more on Lowell Thomas later on.
Summary is... with rising temps,
conditions very easy and forgiving.
Excellent user-friendly for all Skill Levels
over an exceptional Opening Weekend
array of terrain.
