Best Groomed Carving Day Of Season? So Far?
...and things could carry on like this for next 2 weeks?
12.10.18.Ptit.Bonheur.Fine.Near.Flawless.b.jpg
Virtually everything we expected in beneficial
improvements from the big, new snow, plus,
an additional night of Grooming, rendered out
what could be argued as the Best Overall Groomed
Trail Carving Day of this new season... so far.

This is a very early 3:39 A.M. "Heads Up" Posting for Early Birds.
Go Skiing At Tremblant Now!
The Excellence You Find Today Will All Be Due To All Of These:
Please Note: Poor photography conditions, Superb ski conditions snowfall.

Focus On The Snow!
We were attempting to deploy the camera for more than 30 seconds
somewhere so we could capture the essence of the weather and conditions
simultaneously. Over the course of the afternoon, this series taken on
Trail # 94, La Griffe, on its final pitch above the Fuddle-Duddle(Trail # 78)
are the best we could get. Despite, or perhaps because of, the very intense
snowfall obviously acting as filters, it should be equally obvious that Groomed
conditions at Tremblant are going to get a big boost from this storm.
12.9.18.Nord.North.La.Griffe.Snowow.Pow.d.jpg
Tremblant got a really good Snow-Storm over the past 40 hours
or so. It’s an early season "Game Changer”. Consequently, Monday,
December 10th has significant potential to be “Best Of, So Far” day.

O.K., So conditions were a bit marginal for photography...
But they are the main reason that...
If you see this early, and you can go... Do it!
Weather Notes:
Todays key to comfort will be the low wind speed, N.W @ 8km’s.
There should be perceptible heat in the Solar rays where ever you
can find safe, sheltered, trail-side breaks, however, early this
morning it still has a rather off/on overcast look, so we hope
that all clears away.
The 14 day long range forecast now shows right up to Christmas Eve.,
and as you can see, it currently calls for some very easy temperatures
and more snowfall, so get your gift shopping done early and plan for
some quality Ski/Board time!
Conditions Notes:
Fresh, abundant, new snowfall can generate top layer thickness
for a day or two in some cases, so it is always wise to stay within
your actual skill level terrain/trails until you can confirm safe passage.
The new snow will definitely and positively contribute to overall
conditions, however, steeper pitch angles, wind, and/or concentrated
traffic zones can still exhibit the firm base and some icy bits.
Use your head and explore with cautious speed while maintaining
control at all times.
Generally speaking we annually recommend this specific week,
the week following the 24hr Children’s Charity Marathon
Fundraiser , as a very big “Value” week due to low traffic
and the benefits of all the very high quality trail prep. that
was done for the Event.
Please Note: The Versant Sud, South Side access to the Resort Base
is being restored, however the traffic at the Johannsen run-out has
been diverted to the descending right side of the Gondola Base to
use Trail #37, “Onesime”, the magic carpet learning zone, to access
the top of the Cabriolet. Skiers and Boarders using Nansen Bas,
Lower, to exit, will need to walk around the sector where Crews are
dismantling the Charity Event staging and Start/Finish Zone.

Important Repeat from “Weather Notes”:
"The 14 day long range forecast now shows right up to Christmas Eve.,
and as you can see, it currently calls for some very easy temperatures
and more snowfall, so get your gift shopping done early and plan for
some quality Ski/Board time!"
These two weeks before the big Holiday Rush are always
a great opportunity for low traffic and the very best early
season conditions. With a mild forecast, all the better!
