Nice ’N Easy...

A Slightly Cooler Version Of Yesterday.

Predominantly overcast, somewhat breezy,
and very fine Groomed Terrain with good
mid-January quality in the Sous Bois,
Hors Piste, Glades and all other Un-Groomed.

Conditions Notes:

Daily, upwards escalating refinement within the Groomed
Trail array, throughout the above noted forecast periods.

We are getting steadily towards what we refer to as the
maturity of the season. If you look closely at the Summit level
forecast data in the projected natural snowfall data section,
you will see a very large probability for a big snow event starting
on Saturday night and running through Sundays full open hours.

There Are Three Generalized Possible Outcomes:

Possibility A)

If this occurs the way it’s forecast, it is the type of single event that
can mark the real attainment of seasonal maturity due to the significant
boost of potentially indicated accumulations(reaching up to somewhere
around 20cm’s), would instantly render to the already established and
very fine pre-existing base.

Possibility B)

If it does not occur to the degree forecast, the fact remains that with
stable sub-zero C’s around the clock, the base that’s already in this
great shape still gets better with repeated grooming cycles as well
as the additional augmentation of the snowmaking zones currently
being developed.

Possibility C)

There is a statistically probable chance that the natural snowfall
could significantly exceed the forecast. What we consider very
favourable co-factors for that are, the ambient temperature ranges
forecast, as well as the potential for Orographic Snowfall over Mountain
elevations that can and does happen with these types of active weather
profiles. Of these two, we like the temp. factor best because Mother
Natures own, best natural snowmaking temperatures are roughly
-7 C +/- a few degrees, so when there’s a major event within ideal
temperatures, Tremblant can and does frequently far exceed forecast
amounts for that alone.

Conclusion:

It’s a win-win planning scenario either way, but what we want to do
is highlight the significant potential of the natural snowfall for Regional
Ski/Board Fans who can wrangle the time to get here because even the
“Chance” of a major single event is worth planning to attend for, just in
case it really is one of those epic snowstorms.

Future readers of this record doing Ski Holiday
vacation planning should look very seriously at
these early winter Value Weeks to reliably deliver
excellent conditions with very low traffic and
highly discounted prices to optimize budgets
or buy extended time. If you go with economical
accommodations now, compared to high season
and Lux accommodations, you can literally get
2 weeks for now for the price of one later.

That’s a compromise that gets you a serious
time span and vertical on the Mountain, and
when it comes to the bottom line, most serious
Skiers will choose more ski days over any other
considerations.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
