99(*) Open Trails on Sud/South, Nord/North, Soleil and Edge Sectors at #Tremblant .

---------- REVISED Open Trails To 101 --------------------

Archival Data Attached Below.

Please Note: The time of this change preceded the
automated time stamp at time of capture by an
undetermined number of hours back to around noon
as the 1:03 P.M. Conditions Observations posted below
show “101” in the Trail Spec's.)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Cold Weather Alert At -26 C.

Temp’s will be rising fairly rapidly, but along the way
it’s really cool and really windy so the combination is
what you need to be prepared for. Assuming you can
do that, and looking at the overall Skier’s POV...

“Bad” Weather, “Great” Skiing!!!

We like to examine a variety of weather sources to determine
consensus in forecast modelling which helps us to estimate
rates of probability for any snow storm metrics. AccuWeather
is a well respected source that you will also see included in many
of our pre-season forecasts.

Weather Notes:

It’s a wee bit cooler than we’d like to see for the overnight,
but on the whole, we still feel there’s great potential for
optimal natural snowfall out of this system because the temps
are steadily rising throughout the next 24 hour period.

Conditions Notes:

With a forecast outlook of somewhere around 20cm’s of fresh
snowfall, the prospects for a “Game Changing” addition to
the base and trail network at Tremblant is exciting!

(#) However, in our opinion it does not necessarily reflect the entire
potential of the benefits that may be derived at Mountain Elevations
due to Tremblant’s ability to generate its own snowfall enhanced
accumulations from either Orographic or Drifting phenomenon.

It Is A Fact... that blowing, drifting and Orographic(**) snowfall
weather activity can and does generate accumulation deposits
over the Mountains contours of double or more than the statistical
total.

(**) Orographic precipitation is that which is caused by moist, base
level surface air flow being pushed/forced up to higher elevations/slopes,
and in the course of its rising, causing the moisture to condense in
cooler upper air masses of reduced density over the Mountain, where
the additional precipitation occurs. In winter at Tremblant, this takes
the form of snow.

Looking Forward...

If you can plan Skiing at Tremblant for next week,
You Are A Genius.

If you plan to drag your friends to go Skiing at Tremblant next week,
They Will Think You Are A Genius.

If You Are Arriving At Tremblant Next Week From Far Away Because
You Booked A Ski Holiday 5 Months Ago...

You Just Won The Lottery. (and you are most definitely a Genius...)

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
