Technically Speaking, You Can Legitimately Say That Tremblant Conditions Are...

“Over The Moon”

Conditions Notes:

“Over The Moon” is an expression in current language that recognizes the
generalized acknowledgment of excellence or superiority of any situation,
item or emotion when compared to other known, or previous, standards
of existence for the object of the comparison.

At this stage, you could certainly say that about all Terrain categories
of Groomed and Sous Bois/Glades/Hors Piste, and, across all rated
Skill Levels of Green, Blue and Black at Tremblant.

Today may be just about as close as you’ll get to “Optimized”
for “Winter" this season, especially when there is the threat of a
major early spring rain event looming within the short-term forecast.
Oh, there will always be great skiing every single day, but we may
not have the prized, totally thermal free, 100% snow strata surfaces
for much longer as we progress into real “Spring Skiing”.

Are there any “Glitches” out there today? Sure, “Perfect” is only a concept,
so there are some odd icy bits and natural hazards, but compared to the vast
majority of superlative Alpine Snow Sports Open Terrain, they are small
and minor, so all you need to do is use common sense in responsible
explorations. As far as the icy bits, your perceptions will be directly
proportional to the sharpness/freshness of your Skis/Board edges.
If you have dull edges you may think it’s icy in spots. If you have tuned
edges, you will realize it’s very dense snow. The Ski/Board Edge/Surface
interface is the only mechanical connection you have to the trail, so
if you want effective power or control move efficiency with total reliability
you need them good edges. Period.

------------ Apres Ski Insert Edit --------------------------

Notice To Regional Tremblant Highway Commuters:

Never Ever Assume Sunday Afternoon Will Have Lift Lines.

We see this pattern way too often and we think people are
silly to leave early or not attend on Sunday afternoons.
Today was one of the very best, absolutely primo
Super-Carve, Super-Shred, High Performance days
and where is everyone????

This is crazy. Even crazier is that you can spend the entire
afternoon Skiing/Boarding almost alone, while all the rest of
the Lemmings are out lined up, chrome-to-chrome bumpered,
slowly creeping down highways to “Theirville”. Enjoy the afternoon,
including the magnificent privilege of a solitary “Last Run” with
no crowds and only Mother Nature’s peaceful tranquility, have a
relaxing meal, then drive home when the highways are almost empty
and you’ll spend a fraction of the time on the road with way, way
less stress and the satisfaction of a complete, beautiful day on the slopes.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

GoTo: Archive, Search Reports by Date: Index: http://tinyurl.com/yktelmu

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
