Weather Notes:

Statistically, “Sunny” has been a rare occasion so far this season,
so make sure you have your camera with a full charge and lots
of available memory. It should be a magnificently photogenic day!

Below is a 2020 Year End Seasonal Weather Factors Update:

We would certainly have to agree with the “Warmer than average”
aspects of this update, and there is a lot of potential for the
snowfall estimates too. What we hope to see is that Tremblant’s
latitude is just right to capture the snowfall, and avoid the warmth
for optimal accumulation retention within these models.

Conditions Notes:

At somewhere around -16C at the Summit, and with an
Official 20cm’s of fresh snowfall, the conditions should be
fantastic, especially for Experts.

There is enough new snow that there may be some softness
in top layers that could be prone to mogul formations for a day
or two until a second and third overnight grooming generate
higher degrees of compaction. There will be many zones that
respond very well overnight, particularly in the array of Green
rated “Beginner” trails.

20cm’s of new snowfall could contribute to some new trail openings
and/or re-openings. Examples like Versant Nord/North Banzai which
was open for a couple of days earlier in Dec., could be re-establishing
sufficient natural cover to come back on line at some point. We could
be wrong on this specific sample, however sooner or later Mother
Nature is going to make some additions possible, so we’ll be keeping
an eye on the list for any signs of those types of status changes.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
