Weather Notes:

As far as the today weather components, while the temp’s are very
seasonally mild, take a look at the gap between the ambient wind
and the peak gust velocity and you’ll see there is the potential for
some very dramatic differences. There are some very gusty conditions
to the East of Tremblant right now and we think those will make
their way over the Mountain in the course of Open hours.

Looking at the extended 14 day forecast, we continue to see this
extremely mild trend continuing to bump along quite near the
Zero C mark and if nothing else, it makes it easier for the Covid-19
protocols that require boot changes at the car. There continues to be
a good indication for natural snowfall and because this forecast is
for the Sud/South Resort Base level, we think the probabilities for
snowfall may be enhanced at the typically cooler by -4C for Mountain
Elevations, including today.

Conditions Notes:

The S/E wind direction will mean the breezes will be originating over
the Summit Duncan Sector, moving across the Summit towards La Crete
and in the general direction of Nansen. This, coupled with snowfall, should
generate some interesting drifting into the Nansen Sector as well as
P’tit Bonheur and other portions of upper areas within the Lowell Thomas
sector.

Skiing the Sud/South side today should see back-fill drift-in on the left side
of trails as you descend, so if there are wind exposed trail centres, look for
softer snow on those left trail edges.

The opposite applies to the Nord/North side where you may see the right
side of trails favoured by lee-side drifting.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
