Conditions Notes:

Web Cam monitoring continues to show lighter than expected traffic
with relatively short wait times for lifts that we would estimate at between
3 to 7 minutes on average.

This is all notwithstanding the social distancing required for current
Covid-19 that has the lift Q’s being spaced roughly 2 metres apart so
that they become a long looking single-file progressions. The lines move
considerably quicker than you would think looking at their length, there
are just not that many people in them compared to what we’re normally
used to with shoulder-to-shoulder, front-to-back density.

Of course once you are out on the trails, this light traffic translates to
very low occupancy once you clear the Summit. It is not uncommon
to find oneself virtually alone from time-to-time when stopped for a
safe trail-side break.

With the temps dipping well into the cool range for the past several days
the base should be very stable as it has received the benefit of incremental
grooming refinements typical of consecutive days where there are virtually
no thermal intrusions, and consequently very little in the way of icy bits or
glitches.

For sure, there can be zones of concentrated traffic around converging
trail intersections, over, around, below topographical crests onto steeper
pitches that can exhibit slickness, but these portions are largely just
very densely compacted, traffic polished snow, and with well tuned
equipment, i.e. good edges, they should be very small compared to the
overwhelmingly high traction quality of the wide open spaces of the
principle descents.

In the Sous Bois, Hors Piste, Glade, Un-Groomed categories the
range of conditions is more variable and unique to multiple
factors such as traffic, natural snowfall accumulations, steepness,
etc., etc. What that means is that cautious Experts Only explorations
are necessary for responsible, safe descents.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
