Cool, But By Regional Standards, Not Cold.

It is important that readers, and especially future readers here understand the
regional context of weather co-factors that are contributing to our winter season
in terms of both the immediate causation of local weather, and more broadly the
evolving complexity of environmental factors set within historic sequence.

The latter historic reference is what researchers here should be able to use as
support for trends developing into either repeating patterns, and/or any
characteristics that are specifically beneficial to Tremblant winter seasons.
For example, we have theorized in previous T360 blogs and other T360 forum
entries that if Global Warming is taking average temps up slightly, that could
actually put Tremblant into Mother Natures own, best, natural snowmaking
temperatures more often. A second example is what we feel is the significant
asset of Northerly Latitude compared to Tremblant’s regional peers. As the planet
warms, we theorize that “North” should be a benefit compared to “South” when it
comes to the either the probability or reliability of getting genuine “Winter” for your
Ski Holiday when you are booking ahead from any given September or October.
The fine lines you see in graphics below can mean substantial differences in “Winter”
within as little as 100 KM’s of direct North/South position.

Weather Notes:

We are very happy to see the continued cool pattern at this time
of the season due to any increase in the depth of frost into the
mass of the Mountain that will enhance trail durability into March
and April, as well as what we get today in the unique, excellent,
performance qualities of crisp, dry, well chilled snow.

Conditions Notes:

Continued excellence across all skill levels of freshly groomed
open terrain with the added sweetness of last evenings new
4 cm’s snowfall that was well under way as Mountain Crews
began the night-shift.

In the Sous Bois, Glades, Hors Piste, Un-Groomed...
Every snowflake counts, so all additional layers just
add to the fun and consistency over the entire range.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
