100(*) Open Trails on all 4 Open Sectors at #Tremblant .

WHOOOOO HOOOOOO !!!!!

First Day Of Extended Mountain Open Hours To 4:00 P.M. !!!

If you know what you’re doing with Lift Timing, That’s 2 Extra Runs!!!

and... considering the still, and rather chilly -27 C for “First Tracks” this morning,
the extended hours at the warmest time of the day should be a bit more practical,
so way, way up there on the scale of “User Friendly” too...

Weather Notes:

Today should be the final super-kkkkool morning in the current
sequence of Cold-Snap mornings. A warming trend bearing new
Snowfall is headed into the region so from at least 2 POV’s, welcome
weather news for attending Ski/Board fans.

Additional Weather Notes/Insert Update:

Re Graphic Below:

Temperature Inversion To Warmer Summit @ -17 C.
Vs. Sud/South Base @ -28 C.

We consider the current indicated Temp. Inversion to the warmer
Summit air masses to be an extraordinary weather anomaly.

As long as it exists, it will be an obvious benefit while at the Summit,
however, any descent will return you to the base level actual -28 C
at some point. Additionally, there could be some middle ground
where the usual lower temperature relationship to base level exists,
so it is theoretically possible you might find initial -30C temp points
at mid-Mountain levels. We think that would be most likely somewhere
half-way down Versant Nord/North Side slopes for First Tracks.

Conditions Notes:

This is legitimate “Bundle Up” territory as exposures to cold
up at Moutain Elevations(notwithstanding the Inversion
Graphic above), could nip into the -30 C’s by a degree or so.

We recommend a delayed start for little kids until there is a
real and substantial rise in the temps towards the mid-morning
mark. There’s no rush when it comes to safety and Little Johnny
and Little Jill are precious treasures who deserve conservative
margins of comfort with respect to potentially harmful temps.
You’ve got extra time at the end of the day now, so take advantage
of that in the interests of keeping it fun and safe.

Otherwise, clinically speaking, First tracks may have some higher
levels of friction as super-cool snow does not always have the
easiest glide factors, but that should improve rapidly once the
temps begin to rise.

Its difficult to predict the traffic scenarios possible today, it is
the weekend, so that would normally signify “Busy”, however,
its really cool, so that might keep some folks home with feet
in front of the fireplace, not to mention “Pandemic Mode”
influences on attendance. There is some probability that
the lifts may see late developing lines at between 10/11:00 A.M.
when things get a lot more mild. We do not think there will
be any crowding out on the trails though, the reduced overall
attendance due to the Covid-19 Protocols just means there
is a ton of open space per units of public numbers, so for the
most part, open trails feel like wide open trails if you know
what we mean.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
