2/12/21 #Tremblant Conditions

100(*) Open Trails.

It’s A Wee Bit Chilly This Morning...

and frankly, with the breezes forecasted to be
breaking over the Summit from pretty much
straight up Beauvallon, it’s going to feel a wee bit
chilly all day...

But... it’s all relative, because if you look back
throughout the weather stat’s history in this
record, you’ll see we’ve had a lot cooler than
this. The “relative” part then, is also a reference
to the fact that this has been a warmer than
average winter... so far.

Conditions Notes:

In the range of Groomed skill levels from Beginner to Expert:

Primo, Pure, Authentic, “Squeaky” Cold Winter Snow...
incrementally refined over many sequential night-shifts
with the result that every single groomed snowflake is
in the very best place it can be. On a daily basis, this
can all be summed up as “Optimized”. The joy in all
of that is that what makes it great for Experts also
makes it great for Beginners... high traction and
responsive, yet forgiving ease of executing control
moves.

In the Sous Bois, Glades, Hors Piste, and Un-Groomed
categories, care should be taken on all initial explorations.
Overall, conditions are quite fine, however the snowpack
is a bit below average for this date, so the cushion can
be less in places where some natural, but irregular contours
project upward. A positive offset may be the pandemic
effect causing lighter traffic, meaning less wear across
the range of un-groomed terrain, but the point is, pay
attention when you go Hors Piste, look for patterns
and stay safe.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
