We can tell it’s going to be...

Cool, Dry, Quick, Authentic Winter Performance.

You can tell a lot about what the basic performance is going to be like
from the Eye-Opener Web Cam snap shots and what we see there are
small desert sand-like waves of wind propelled snow across the Summit
plateau. Those little surface waves only occur when the snow crystals
are so fine and dry that they can form these distinct patterns. When you
see them you can look forward to extraordinarily fine carving performance
for Experts and extraordinarily fine ease of control for Beginners and
Intermediates.

First Tracks Guests will erase these little tell-tale snow waves in seconds,
so if you’re not up early enough to catch them, the signals they provide
will likely be missed.

Weather Notes:

As much as it’s going to warm up during Open Hours, the wind
will keep it feeling cool in the frontal facing zones. Over on the
Versant Nord/North Side sheltered zones, technically referred to
as the “Lee Side”, less than 75 vertical metres below the Summit,
on the quiet trail-sides of Trail # 65, Banzai for only one example,
you should be able to stop for a quiet break at the mid-point plateau
and the direct rays of the sun may feel hot after a minute or so. You
will probably be able to hear the wind roaring at the Summit, but it
will be blissfully calm, almost spooky calm, where you’re at and at
that moment you will realize there is an awesome range of variables
in Mother Natures fingerprint on a day like today. This is authentic winter.

Conditions Notes:

Fabulous genuine winter excellence. From Beginner to Expert,
within rated challenge levels of groomed terrain, there should
be some really superb performance today. The light, dry, fine
crystals of cold-formed snow simultaneously have super high
performance and easy, forgiving control capability. These are
conditions that make you look good.

In the Sous Bois, Glades, Hors Piste, and Un-groomed, the Lee-side,
in this Westerly Wind direction case, Versant Nord/North Side should
get the primary benefits of new snowfall. Explore carefully and have fun!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
