Here’s What All Your Friends At Tremblant Have Been Doing...
On an overall basis of quality, consistency, accessibility, forgivness,
and iconic scenic beauty, we would have say yesterday was at least
one of the top 5 days of the season, so-far.
What A Spectacular Way To Close Out February!!!(#)

Shred City, Man!!!
If it looks like there are a lot of chunky bits in the foreground,
that is only the evidence of previous skiers passage as the chunky
bits in the air behind this fearless skier are adding to the total.
None of these bits are solid. They break up instantly on contact
and they have no “Feel” of encounter as you ski over them, it’s
as if they exist only in image, not consequence. There was just
enough solar energy to slightly soften the Sud/South Side trail
surfaces, but only by the smallest of margins, so even the Black
rated slope of the McCulloch Summit Level pitch stayed mogul-free
all day long. period. Fantastic!!! Period.
Then there’s Tremblant on a whole different level, “The Scenic Zone”...
Wow...
Basically, there was “Spectacular” just about everywhere...

If you have not already read it, please use the “Previous Topic” buttons
top/bottom of this page to review our Apres Ski edit/pic's from yesterday,
the final day(28) of Feb., 2021.
Based on the temperature range for Open Hours today,
we expect the performance qualities to be much the
same as yesterday. It might not be quite the spectacular
super-sunny scenery, but clinically speaking we think the
ski experience for today should be very similar. Rocket-Fast
with just a touch of softness. If we are wrong, we think the
conditions may skew towards the firmer side if Mountain
Elevations go the usual -4 C cooler than base.
Weather Notes:
Yesterday all the Weather-Bugs were freaked out over the rain icons
in the forecast, however, as far as we can tell this morning, it never
happened at the intensity the forecast indicated. There are no signs
of water “pooling” in the yard or driveway this morning, however there
is currently a sort-of drizzle/sleet-like intermittent precipitation that is
light, at least at this point in time. It looks like it could switch to snow.
10 Day Summit Level Forecast
Conditions Notes:
“Wild Cards”... When the temps are forecasted so close to Zero C,
there are many potential outcomes that can be virtually opposite
in terms of user friendly utility within a 2 or 3 degree range above
or below the freezing mark.
If we lean towards one way or the other, in this case it would
be in favour of the cooler side just because the temps are headed
down into the -20C for the overnight period so typically in that
context, cool is more likely than warm in the range we’ll see
during Open hours.
In that case, after yesterdays slight “+" warmth softness, “Cool”
and Sub-Zero C are going to make edge sharpness a critical
element for today when the Laws Of Physics take over. No doubt
in our thinking then, that the reference above to “Rocket Fast”
has a huge probability of being the reality today.
Assuming you have the tools for the job, i.e., edges, the groomed
should be wonderful across all skill levels with another grooming
shift in place. Even if things get really “Firm”, the default will still
be smooth, the very best basic quality.
In the Sous Bois, there’s been a huge leap forward in the past weeks
30 some-odd cm’s of fresh snow, so all the advantages from that
remain today.
