Whatever initial firmness there was, it all quickly
softened, however, it did not lose much speed,
so the overall performance level was still very
winter-like, especially on the upper and Nord/North
portions.

Look Beyond The Trails!
In every single pic., in both this Apres Ski, and the
orig. post, look beyond the trails and you’ll see the
amazing amount of snow in the bush... everywhere!
It’s literally the best of both worlds, total winter
coverage with easy spring temps!
There are still soft powder trail edge lines...

This pic. below is going to characterize the vast expanses of the Tremblant skiing
experience today, superb surfaces, clear blue sky, and the comparatively quiet
level of late season weekday attendance that is typical at the end of every season.

You Should Be Racing Over To Tremblant!!!
We have written many times previously about the spectacular
conditions that are common to trails that have been prepared
for racing or race training, then returned to public use. The
benefit is the immaculate wall-to-wall, top-to-bottom consistency
that is required for race course use that remains afterwards.
In this example, Trail # 18, McCulloch has been dedicated to
a National level competition for a week. Riders up the TGV Quad
have been watching this action for days on end, and today, we
get to go here for our own high performance fun and skills development.

Weather Notes:
Yikes!!!
There’s no bigger reminder about the “Essence Of Time” than seeing
the last Official Open day, April 18, in the long range 14 day weather
forecast. This is it folks, the final count-down has begun.
Conditions Notes:
One look at the hourly weather forecast is going
to tell you all you need to know about todays
prevalent spring conditions.
It may have the typical early, early morning crusty
from the upper elevations being slightly below Zero C,
however it should not take more than until just around
10:00 A.M for the sun and ambient air temps to soften
up the groomed surfaces to shred levels.
Mountain Utility Notice:
Thermally induced saturations are possible in any Spring skiing
scenario, so the only way to offset potential drag is to wax or
base coat skis/board with “warm” temp products that significantly
reduce any sensations of friction. These products go a long way
towards keeping optimized speed and we fully recommend you
treat your gear accordingly before attendance so you can hit the
snow for all day faster fun.
