And... in the case of our Nansen example above...

Fantastic Opening Terrain Development News:

One of our all-time, most favourite, best loved, critically important,
user friendly, ultimate access, future benefit trail expansions of ANY
new season...

Snowmaking Icons Activated On Nansen Bas/Lower.

The value of Nansen Bas/Lower to the Versant Sud/South Side
Resort Base can not be overstated. It is the only legitimate
Green/Beginner descent path to the Resort village and it completely
alleviates the complex and often very challenging intersection
at Mi Chemin and Beauvallon at the TGV Quad Base, reducing
traffic stress to all Versant Sud/South Side lower terrain, and
providing a way-easy alternative that truly opens equitable
Resort access to all Tremblant Guests.

Fantastic news, and if you’re planning to bring your “Never-Ever”
newbies out to try skiing or snowboarding, it’s usually in the 5 to 7
day range forward that we could see it open from the start of
snowmaking. In this specific case, we see a great start, especially
with the -10 C tonight, but due to the warm shot we may see on
Wed. of this week, we might lean towards the 7 day end of forecast.
We would be very happy to be wrong if it could be sooner.

Weather Notes:

So far... it’s just straight-up heavy overcast over the Summit,
but, there are occasional streaks of brightness or lightness in
the cloud cover over the adjacent Old Village of Mt. T, so we
do have faith that the sunny part will eventually materialize.

Otherwise for today... check out those peak wind gust values...
it could be “Breezy” out today.

For those folks looking/planning ahead through this week,
this below is a repeat of a forecast graphic we ran 3 days ago
that should help explain the potential weather dynamics for
the Wednesday(11/30) glitch you can see in the 14 day long
range above. There is still some possibility that the precip.
shown as rain at base levels could be snow at cooler Mountain
elevations, but the Wed. forecast temp value has gone up by a
degree in the last few hours so that does not help the odd’s.
It’s still too early to call this one as substantial change either
way is possible with over 48 hours to go.

Conditions Notes:

We’re predicting that today is going to be one of those
“Fly Under The Radar” days of early season excellence for
the chosen few who can be here today because of the
extraordinary amount of open, groomed terrain, and the
very, very few in attendance for a Monday workday after
the rush of the big American Thanksgiving Opening Weekend.

It broke over the freezing mark, just, at the Summit yesterday,
and it got up to +6 C at base levels, so with the Summit now
at -4C you would be entirely correct in assessing the possibility
of some firmness and maybe even the odd icy bit in the now
more solid refroze portions, especially on steeper pitches or
at mid-to-lower elevations. The drop in the Summit temps
did not occur until between 2:30 and 5:30 A.M., so likely well
after the grooming night-shift. Sharp edges will be an advantage.
With the Resort Base temps forecasted at +1 C we think there
will be all-day firmness unless the skies really clear up and
there is perceptible solar energy.

We would expect to see a lot of familiar faces in the retired
Local’s group. We estimated that Racer population over the
weekend at about 30%, today that may seem more like 40
or 50% as we think that regionally, ski race training is a
legitimate component of educational Phys.Ed. programs.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.)
