40(*) Open Trails On Sud/South and Nord/North Sectors At #Tremblant.
The Very Best Place For Early Season Conditioning...
A 3 shot series of the visiting High Park Ski Club,
we see them here every year at this time.

The High Park Ski Club is the oldest Adult Alpine Snow
Sports Club in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, It runs dozens
of trips throughout the season to both regional ski hills
as well as exotic European and Western Rocky Mountain
destinations, but....

When it comes to serious early season conditioning,
year after year, you see them heading to Tremblant.
We think that’s because their organizers know they
can count on Tremblant to deliver reliable season’s
opening conditions.

You Should Be Racing Over To Tremblant
To Do Exactly The Same Thing.
Weather Notes:
The hourly says snow flurries, however there is
periodic heavy, thick snowfall at this early stage.
It may not amount to much if the sun comes out,
but it sure looks good coming down!

-------------------------------------------------
Conditions Notes:
The 25 cm’s of Official snowfall may be a bit low by
a couple of cm’s because it snow-showered on/off
quite a bit yesterday and this morning there is a
white blanket on all the base levels, but the PDF
says zero cm’s added in the total.
The reason we think it’s important to point that out
is that even a dusting of new snow can have a very
perceptible effect on the running characteristics of
trail surfaces.
For that reason, we think todays groomed open trail
network is going to be very fine, especially when you
take into account that this is another day down the line
in getting to optimized grooming compaction after
the two big days of natural snowfall that have been
a bit prone to moguls from the softness.
The Very First Un-Groomed, Au Natural Trails OPEN.
Versant Nord/North Side Trails # 64, Marie-Claude Asselin
Haut/Upper and #65, Banzai Haut/Upper.
12.18.22.Nord.North.Banzai.Haut.Upper.Last.Minutes.Open.b.jpg
We got there literally at the moment they were Officially
opened at about 2:40 P.M. yesterday. They did not get
added to the open tail count as it was a last minute
decision, but never-the-less a very important mark
in seasonal development when the very first trails open
on natural snow alone, a it was a pure coincidence that
we happened to be on the spot.
One Path To The Sous Bois/Hors Piste:
Edge Sector Under Development.
This is not on the Official list of snowmaking, but
it is actually happening on site, and it is a major
insight into the potential for what is arguably the
most popular Sous Bois/Glade zone at Tremblant.
12.18.22.Edge.Sector.LeTendre.Snowmaking.Observations.c.jpg
The best hope for Hors Piste access is the 14 day long range
weather forecast that contains snowfall days. We are getting
close, so if Mother Nature decides to be generous, it could
be “sooner”, rather than “later”.

Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.
When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.
There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
