We’ve been using this “Best Signs” POV for a decade or so
because it really does summarize a lot about what’s great
at Tremblant, from the comfortable access to the Summit
in any weather with the Gondola, the great terrain challenge
that appeals to all skill levels, plus the incredible, magnificent
Laurentian scenery.

Weather Notes:

We would have to say that at the early time of this posting
that the current and apparent thickness of the overcast
makes the sunny element in the forecast look “optimistic”,
however in the following hours things may/could hopefully
evolve rapidly.

Conditions Notes:

In the open, freshly groomed group, there should
be a wide ranging scope of consistent excellence
across all skill levels, to begin with. The durability
of any “all-day” reference to that initial standard
may be the weekend wild card of as yet unknown
traffic volume that could tend to be on the busy
side. If it did end up busy, the likelihood is that
steeper pitches could see some mogul building
however, in our opinion, there is more than sufficient
stability in the base to support smoothness within
the Green’s for the entire day.

In the Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed groups,
we’re forecasting a repeat of yesterday where we still say:
“Highly variable and distinctly unique on a case-by-case
basis. Careful Expert explorations are required prior to
ripping around as hazard risk can be directly proportional
to speed. Wear patterns and difficulty levels generated by
traffic volume tend to be zone specific, so sensitive awareness
of actual/realistic personal skills capability applied to terrain
selection is the best way to stay safe. If you’re skiing the bush,
warm up thoroughly and work up patiently.”
