5(*) Open Trails on Sud/South and Nord/North Sectors at #Tremblant .

REVISED Open Trails To 6(*)

---------------------------------------

Please Note: A) Opening Day For Winter Ski Season 2023/24

Versant Sud/South Side available from Summit to TGV Via Beauvallon Haut(upper)
and Alpine.

Versant Nord/North Side available from Summit to base via P’tit Bonheur
and Beauchemin Bas(lower).

Please Note: B) Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal period sampling.

Weather Notes:

The most frequently beneficial asset through this and any November
Opening Day(s) sequence is what we call the “Elevation Differential”,
which is an inherent -4 C degree cooler temperature at the Summit.

November daily averages can float around the Zero C mark at ground
levels and history shows that this very common cooler air stratification
up over the trail network is vitally important when it comes to getting
the new season started.

So far the Summit web-cam is showing at -4 C, so compared to the
Sud/South Resort Base level, we’re in good shape over the open terrain
at upper levels.

-------------- 1:25 P.M. Insert Update: ---------------

In this mornings weather notes we though there should
be the typical -4 C cooler Summit, so here’s the proof.
(Please note: we had to insert the -3C as an overlay
because there was so much snow filtering the LED
that it generated a highly pixilated strobing effect
and the momentary screen capture could not render
what the eye could see flashing.)

Conditions Notes:

At Least There’s One...

Summit-To-Base Ski-out On Versant Nord/North Side.

Everyone knows just how important, and just what a
privilege it is to have Summit-To-Base access on not
only Opening Day, but any and every day.

Regardless of how much is available during the opening
phases, Mountain utility is optimized by ski-out to base
level parking so downloading by lift is not required for
those who have the ability to drive to a serviced base zone,
which in this case is Versant Nord, the North Side base.

With all the infrastructure construction going on at the
Versant Sud/South Side Gondola Base for the upcoming
F.I.S. World Cup Women’s G.S. event on December 2/3,
it is totally understandable why the Resort Base is
not ski-out at this stage, however there still is end of day
access by downloading on the Gondola.

----------- Special Retrospective Pre-Season Archival Insert: --------------

We have thought all along that the Opening Day conditions
were going to have a very high degree of natural snow integration
that would be above average compared to what we might consider
to be the usual, fairly heavy ratio of blown snow. We think the
pre-season web cam graphics included in this special insert
offer the quite obvious evidence that both the initial conditions
are going be fantastic, and that this season is off to a great start!

Please Note: Normally we would create a separate “Tremblant Geographic”
section topic for pre-season startup chronology but this year we’ve decided
to experiment with a streamlined inclusion here on Opening Day because
it seems at least slightly logical that if you’re looking for an explanation
as to why the conditions are what they are, it makes sense to show how
and why right here on the day you can actually get to use them.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you "Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
