Fantastic News On Expanding Tremblant
Open Terrain PLUS Enhanced Blended Surface
Quality From 6 Cm’s Of More Fresh Snow!

(#) A current You Tube Search of “North American Ski Conditions”
will show many, many reports of very low, in some cases no snow
across the North American Continent for the so-far 2023/24
Ski Season. True to many pre-season forecasts, the El Nino Pacific
Ocean weather pattern influence has generated a considerably
warmer than average ambient environment which has generally not
been good for either the production or retention of natural snowfall.
There are some Western Ski destinations that do not have
snowmaking that have been closed up until the last week or so and
virtually the entire continent has seen a very low and slow start.

Tremblant had the benefit of a very early cold spell of weeks,
and when combined with the massive infrastructure effort to
build and support the very significant open trail inventory for
both the F.I.S. World Cup Women’s G.S. and the 24 Hour
Children’s Charity Fundraiser events, we got a super-early
start that has remained a major benefit right up to this very
moment as that well established trail base easily held its
integrity throughout the warm/wet period.

Weather Notes:

At Mountain elevations, it’s going to seem very cool because
of the vigorous N/W wind component. You’re going to need
to bundle up as this is legitimate wind-chill territory and any
gaps or leaks in your exterior garment envelop will become
evident in seconds if you have to face the force.

The winds will be coming up the Mountain from the Versant
Sud/South Side Beauvallon sector and when descending along
La Crete towards Nansen, there may be moments of significant
push-back as you round the corner at the top of Beauvallon.

Be ready for it.

Conditions Notes:

“Breezy” or not... Clinically speaking, the skiing should
be fantastic. Cool, crisp newly groomed trails with an
integrated fresh snowfall should produce a very high
quality trail base with loads of high performance traction
and a very forgiving degree of surface quality that has
the ability to absorb little edging mistakes without
harsh feedback. Within all the respective Green/Blue/Black
trail ratings, legitimate skills realistically matched to
challenge should make for one of most rewarding
technical ski days in recent weeks.

The expansion of the open terrain is going to be welcomed
by all, but in particular, genuine Experts are going to be
overjoyed to see Versant Nord/North Side Expo as a
progressive open this morning. Versant Soleil Fans will
be excited to see Toboggan on line and for those just
waiting for more, snowmaking icons activated on Versant
Nord/North La Griffe and Versant Sud/South Kandahar
are key insights to upcoming availability.

Please Note: Your T360 author is not yet able to
be on site due to a post-surgical, medical LOA.
We expect to have that cleared by mid-December.
12.16.23-UPDATE: Due to LOA logistical support
issues, plus Holiday season scheduling, return
delayed but working on A.S.A.P.

Thanks for your patience. In the mean-time, we
intend to maintain the daily, chronologically filed,
weather and trail status data plus whatever
observational commentary possible for archival
date/seasonal/historical period sampling.
