Cooler, but with the promise of nicely warming
and maybe even a bit of sun?

The Most Practical Thing You Can Do...

Dynamic conditions that involve changing Open Trail
status, snowmaking, loads of new snowfall, extra
challenge above or beyond normal for weather reasons,
can all be handled with far greater efficiency and
enjoyment by consulting with the unique Tremblant
Info.Ski Crews at their Summit station between the
Gondola offload zone and the Lowell Thomas Quad peak.

Valuable time and energy can be seriously optimized
by taking with these folks frequently during the day
as they constantly receive radio-controlled updates
that can instantly be applied to your next run.

Weather Notes:

The best part of the hourly forecast is the very low
wind speed during the coolest early hours which is
going to make First Tracks a lot more user friendly.

You’ll still get cool from wind chill with any significant
descent speed acting as net wind speed, however when
you stop for a safe trail-side break, the absence of wind
will immediately make it seem much warmer in the stillness.

Looking forward what we see is a break in the cold that
is going to make for an extended spell of mild winter,
especially into next week. This is your Official T360
Notice that all regional Tremblant Fans that can plan
for it, should be taking advantage accordingly.

Conditions Notes:

Generally quite fine on the freshly groomed.

The Mountain continues to be in Tune-Up mode with
extra snowmaking being conducted in the zones/trails
indicated below on the Official Report.

We received some direct guest feedback yesterday
Apres Ski that suggested there were areas of recently
groomed, where wind and traffic had generated a
washboard effect necessitating slow speeds and that
there were also some upper Versant Sud/South Side
zones of exposed icy base from recent frontally wind
facing force that are quite challenging, even for Experts.
For that reason, we’d be suggesting that wise regional
commuters bring sharp edges, and that caution should
be used on all initial explorations on steeper terrain where
you find firm or solid entrance conditions because the
pitches below may be difficult to execute control moves
on if you come into them with too much speed.

Building, building, building....

As the snow keeps on piling up, the forgiveness increases
too, however as you can see above, the Ski Patrol has clearly
hand-posted hazard advisory signage that should be taken
seriously and with respect for both technical expertise to
safely descend, as well as cautionary notice for proactively
preventing equipment harm. There are still outcroppings
of wood or rock that may be encountered, so we would
repeat yesterdays comments that the secret to safe navigation
in the Sous Bois/Un-Groomed group is slow, deliberate, focused,
careful and patient progress.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
