“Sweetheart” Valentines Day Conditions!

A Beautiful Snowfall Refresher.

Last Run, Versant Nord/North Side Beauchemin Haut/Upper, Feb. 13, At Tremblant.

It’s not a fancy action shot, although you can certainly
see a lot of small moving objects, but it tells you just
about all you need to know regarding the quality of
the raw materials that are going to be in the blended,
groomed trail surfaces today.

Weather Notes:

Compared to recent days and weeks...

A legitimate “Bundle Up” advisory.

Not necessarily because of the temps, but definitely
due to the wind and wind gust velocities that could
take the chill factor into the quick, freeze-dry zone.

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Where the new snow has been retained into the integrated
groomed blend of trail base, there should be a noticeable
upgrade in the consistency of even, skiable, loose top layers.

If there is a caveat in all of that it is the drifting effects
of the wind that definitely shaped the way the snow was
laid down over the Mountain. Consequently there may be
zones where you can tell that there are different ratio’s of
new natural snow content. Where the ratio’s of natural are
higher, there will be a smoother, softer feel of control
underfoot that Beginners and aspiring Intermediates may
find preferable.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades And Un-Groomed:

The wind shaped drifting will produce zones of substantial
improvement where accumulations may exceed the official
snowfall total. The cool winds aloft made the new snow very
light and dry, really quite fluffy so the signs of renewal may
be quite dramatic in places. Your Expert mission is to find
those places with responsible explorations.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
