91/102(*) Open Trails.

Cool Temp’s... Very Cool Skiing.

Weather Notes:

This and any other cool cycle are critically important
for the refrigerant reserve in the core mass of the
Mountain when the snowfall is on the shallow side.

Every degree of retained frost support is necessary
for the durability of the base through to spring when
the real thermal intensity gets dialled up. In that regard
look at the overnight low’s in the 14 day long range
models below. Fortunately those crispy low’s are when
we’re all asleep, so Mother Nature gets to reset while
we rest.

-------------- 2.15.24 Seasonal Weather Factors Update: -----------------

You’ve observed it’s a so-far, low snow year... We’re not alone...

The additional and potentially good news is that
we are only half-way through February, so with
just over 2 months left in the Official season,
there are hopefully going to be many more
opportunities for Mother Nature to generate
more natural snow. We have observed more
than one season of abundant late season snow,
so maybe, possibly, could be, we may see a
strong finish? Check out the forecast snowfall
icons in the 14 day long range models above...

--------------------------------------------

A slightly phuzzy action shot, with pin-sharp performance accuracy.

It’s been like this for days and days and weeks and weeks...

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

More refinement as consecutive days of grooming
expand the scope and the consistency of loose,
high performance, blended surfaces that have
enhanced daily durability because of low mid/work
week attendance.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades And Un-Groomed:

Select excellence and overall genuine Expert challenge
but with a case-by-case caveat for natural hazards that
warrant very slow, deliberate and cautious exploration.
This is particularly applicable in the Un-Groomed mogul
zones attached to Sous Bois sectors as some hazards are
not visible from above.

The Ski Patrol have hand posted signage in these areas
and all those advisory notices should be taken with
serious respect.
