62/102(*) Open Trails At #Tremblant .

Regardless Of Weather
Or Open Trail Numbers...

There’s Always Fresh Corduroy Delivered Every Morning...

Otherwise, with a drop from 100 to 62,
you might say it’s preserve and protect mode...

Weather Notes:

Good grief.... Wow... Just what we don’t need, however
not a thing we can do other than have Descente Poncho,
and keep fingers crossed that 80% of the time, the weather
is less severe at elevations than it is at base...

Basically, it’s been since Christmas since we’ve had any
significant warm/wet cycle, so we just have to accept
in Mother Natures big picture we’ve actually had a great
long run and these things can and do randomly happen...

Conditions Notes:

Intro: Very, very complex conditions matrix
generated by hugely active weather moving
from American mid-west on a roughly Nor-West
trajectory.

Adverse Weather Advisory.

It’s definitely Descente Poncho time...

As usual in these types of active weather profiles,
you need to be able to consider conditions as
separate and distinct between atmospheric and
surfaces. If you’re not capable of handling the
atmospheric, you may not enjoy the surfaces
to the extent that they are actually very fine.

In The Groomed:

The skiing should have predominantly very soft, very fine
technical quality as it always does where freshly groomed.
There are some thin spots showing through where machine
work over or around topographical contours, but they are
all clearly visible and easy to navigate past.

The Greens and Blues are arguably in the most user-friendly
conditions and there are some steeper zones that are very
firmly solid underneath showing that the frost reserve in the
core mass of the Mountain has not gone anywhere.

In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades And Un-Groomed:

Here is an Un-Groomed mogul zone sample from
yesterday that may be somewhat transferable to
Sous Bois zones where you can basically just add
trees to imagine conditions.

As we have written here for many similar circumstances,
it is this trail group that are the most sensitive and certainly
a review of the Official Open Trail list will reflect that status
today, however... that does not mean that there are not still
zones of significant natural snow reserve.

It may not be like this everywhere, but in this case below
what you are looking at is a Sous Bois trail base with
a random sample depth of over 1 metre.

Please Note: The 2 above pic's are submitted by a T360 Fan
who is a genuine, legitimate Sous Bois category Expert
with decades of experience and we sincerely appreciate
this contribution to the archive. Merci Claude!

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
