Deja vu Spring...

Wow... this is the kind of weather we’d imagine
for a month from now, and from that standpoint,
and as much as we enjoy authentic spring skiing,
from a clinical/seasonal point of view it is not
really welcome so early and so intensely.

Oh well, there’s not a single thing we can do
about the weather so may as well enjoy the
moment and lay a very heavy coating of warm
snow rated wax/base treatment to skis before
heading out...

Conditions Notes:

In The Groomed:

Very soft to begin with and may exhibit
variable levels of moisture saturation
induced frictional drag that can be
offset by waxing or base coating for
specific warm snow temp ranges with
hydrophobic properties to optimize
glide.

Introduction of steeper pitch angles may
be easier for aspiring skill builders who
are confident in stopping and steering
inputs as the natural braking effect of
warm damp snow may be an asset for
slopes you might otherwise find too steep.

Steeper slope angle are more likely to
generate traffic related mogul formations
so it is imperative to have absolute speed
and stopping control along all descent
paths where trail narrowing or convergence
might concentrate to amplify bump shaping.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
