2(*) Open Trails.

O.K., Things are going to seem a bit repetitive while
there’s only one trail open...

However...

It is one excellent trail, and...

It’s exactly what you need for early season fitness training.

Compared to the little local hill 45 minutes from
Yourville(that may not be open for a while yet...)
this one, single, excellent trail could be bigger
in square area and vertical drop than that entire
local bump, so it’s absolutely worth being here for.

Weather Notes:

All things considered, this is a fantastic early winter
forecast profile that while a couple weeks late for
opening, is none-the-less near ideal for moving
forward with rapid terrain development under a
solidly 24 hour, consecutive multi day, stable,
Sub-Zero C daily pattern.

Conditions Notes:

A careful examination of the Tremblant sharable social media
pic from yesterday, above, will show 90% of what you need to
know about initial seasons opening being largely machine
groomed surfaces of mixed particle sizes over a primarily
blown snow base.

The advantage today has over yesterday is both break-in user
wear, plus one grooming night shift, that will have all rendered out
a noticeable increase of small fine particles as well as the overall
reduction in the entire size range of the particles.

The net result is an increasing degree of natural snow feeling
underfoot as the large coarseness gets reduced very quickly.

-------- Conditions Caveats: ---------------

Sharing...
With multi-skill level sharing on one only trail
it is vitally important for those with Intermediate
and Expert experience to respect the Beginners
with wide passing margins and moderately low
speeds.

Watch Out...
There may be kids out there Race training and
because they’ve already missed a week, they
will be very anxious to pack in as much conditioning
as possible.

Evolving Challenge...
With one trail and a firm machine base it is typical
to see evolving conditions where the concentration
of traffic volume can cause icy bits or moguls to
form. Pay attention to patterns of use and any
developing hazards.

--------------------------------------

The snowmaking indicated at and around the Versant Sud/
South Side Flying Mile sector is dedicated to infrastructure
event support that starts with the F.I.S. Women’s World
Cup on December 7/8, followed by the 24 Hour Children’s
Charity Fundraiser.

In our opinion...
The best news for public open terrain expansion continues to
be Versant Nord/North Side Beauchemin Haut/Upper as well
as Rigodon within the Lowell Thomas sector. Considering
the lift capacity of the Lowell Thomas high speed detachable
quad, any terrain expansion within its service area is going
to immediately reduce traffic density and expand the range
of specific skill level availability thereby enhancing safety,
trail quality and training results for everyone.

Ultimately, that Nord/North terrain expansion would reach
down Trail #77, Beauchemin Bas/Lower, as a ski-out
to base level.

Regardless of where it occurs, no one will be more anxious
to get additional terrain going than Tremblant itself. Regional
race teams book Tremblant months in advance because they
know that no matter what weather challenges happen, Tremblant
has the best chance to establish training zones within the array
of snowmaking and grooming development. Seasons pass holders
and Resort vacationers have been looking forward to hitting the
slopes for many weeks. Everyone wants to get going.

It’s All On The Way Folks!

The public may not get to use this zone below for a little
over 2 weeks from now but when it does become available
(after all the events it’s needed for between now and then),
it should be fantastic!

Ski Conditions News Formatting Changes:

It appears as though there may be a new format for
the text introduction to the daily, consolidated, one page
printable version of the Official Snow Report, where
the full text version is not recorded. Until we establish
the actual pattern there, we will attempt to archive
the text message(preamble), together with the graphic
form below.

Official 11.29.24 DAILY MESSAGE:

Tremblant welcomes you for the second day of the season!
As you may have noticed, the unpredictable weather had an
impact on our operations. The mild temperatures in recent
weeks have meant fewer opportunities to run our snowmaking
systems. However, our team is always on the lookout for every
chance to create the perfect conditions for you. For this opening
day, we’re excited to offer you 2 trails and 2 open lifts. Although
the accessible terrain is classified as beginner, please consider it
suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders
due to the crowding on the limited terrain. Plan ahead for the end
of your day on the slopes, as the return to the South base will also
need to be done by gondola.

The forecast is promising, allowing us to plan for the opening of
more skiable slopes and lifts in the near future. Several areas of the
mountain are undergoing gradual snowmaking, taking into account
the needs for our upcoming events: the PwC Tremblant World Cup
on December 7-8 and the 24h Tremblant from December 13-15.

:) Bring Back The Memories... Research Future Visits...
If you would like to look up dates you visited Tremblant, or you
want to research days/weeks/months to visit, you can sample what
they look like historically, month by month, year by year.

When reviewing dates from any of the past, numbered, archived pages,
you can use the "Previous Topic" or "Next Topic" buttons, located
screen far right, in upper date/message bar to scroll through sequential
dates, or use your browsers "back" button to stay on the selected index
page for non-sequential date reviews in either forward or reverse order.

There are approximately 6, 25 day Index pages per season.

( If you “Bookmark" the link above, it will always take you to the
First index page with the latest posts. That gives you an immediate,
current to 25 day past, review scroll of Winter Alpine Conditions by
consecutive date.
