A Perfect Way To Start The New Week With Great Monday Morning News!

An experienced Tremblant Fan will tell you just exactly
how important Nansen is to the essence of this Mountain
both as a historic 1939 original, heritage, legacy trail
designed and cut by the legendary “JackRabbit Johannsen”,
but as well, a current standard of World Class excellence
as a Green trail of Summit-to-Base of Beginner/Intermediate
and even Expert nirvana measuring over 6 Kilometres when
fully developed.

It is simply one of the very finest learning environments
in Eastern North America. Period.

Nansen can simultaneously engage everyone from Beginners
to World Cup Experts by offering a predictable level of the
highest quality over it’s length for all who use it to focus
on technique nuance over such a long length to build what
Gym-Rats call the “Mind-Muscle Connection”, where refined
physical motion is practiced to the point of subconscious,
reflexive responsiveness. That works like a charm here just
because you don’t have to stop every 2 minutes to get back
on a lift.

The learning curve of any Skiing student is exponentially
increased simply by having such outstanding quality and
consistency over such a long and uninterrupted distance
in order to build rhythm that becomes embedded in the
brain-body connection.

On top of all that, it has some of the most gorgeous views
in the World.

If you are a Beginner, here is your best advice... Plan
Tremblant when Nansen is fully open Summit-to-Base.
You will be able to learn more, and faster here than
almost anywhere. If you are an Intermediate, same
goes, you will be able to get better, and faster here
because practice laps over non-stop 6Km’s will do
that automatically.

Based on what we’ve heard is in the development pipeline,
we think there is some probability that Nansen in it’s full
length might, could be, possibly, be available for the weekend
of the 24 Hour Children’s Charity event, maybe.

Weather Notes:

Continued fantastic for snowmaking, plus a really
good shot at maybe a good ole’ snowstorm coming
up this week over Wed./Thurs.

Conditions Notes:

Today will see an increase in all-day smoothness and
consistency that is mogul and icy-bit resistant because
it is not Opening weekend. The big rush is gone and
those in attendance tend to be either older, i.e. retired,
or younger, i.e. Racers in training, but regardless, the
total numbers will be a fraction of the weekend and
that means far less traffic.

In addition, since Opening Day, there has been a steady
natural snowfall happening incrementally day by day,
that has now racked up 10cm’s. When blended into the
original blown snow trail surfaces with each grooming
night shift, it should all make for a perceptibly more
natural gliding feel underfoot with an increasing proportion
of natural in the top layers.

An interesting aspect of the Official snowmaking icons
is the indication on Versant Nord/North Side, Trail # 70
Gagnon Bas/Lower. This is the run that descends from
peak of the Expo Quad, down to the base of the Lowell
Thomas Quad. Typically that would also include Trail # 72,
Lowell Thomas Bas/Lower, in order to connect to the
decent pathway down Rope Tow to the top of Rigodon.
So far, there are no icons for #72, but it’s possible that
it could be added soon, or that it’s just not showing up
on the record yet. Either way, it does indicate action in
this zone.

Of course... we expect most of the action on Sud/South
sectors to be focused on production for the 24 Kids event.

Archival copy of Official Daily Message:

Tremblant welcomes you for this 24-25 season!
As you may have noticed, the unpredictable weather
had an impact on our operations. The mild temperatures
in recent weeks have meant fewer opportunities to run
our snowmaking systems. However, our team is always
on the lookout for every chance to create the perfect
conditions for you. Although most of our accessible
terrain is classified as beginner, please consider it
suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers and
snowboarders due to the crowding on the limited
terrain. Plan ahead for the end of your day on the
slopes, as the return to the South base will also
need to be done by gondola.

The forecast is promising, allowing us to plan for the
opening of more skiable slopes and lifts in the near future.
Several areas of the mountain are undergoing gradual
snowmaking, taking into account the needs for our
upcoming event: the 24h Tremblant from December 13-15.
