It’s The Big, Annual, 24 Hour Children’s Charity Fundraiser Event Weekend!
Please Note: There are restrictions to Versant Sud/South Side
trails that form the event course. From the Summit, La Crete,
Beauvallon Haut/Upper, and Alpine are course designated.
At mid-Mountain, Mi Chemin is course designated. Below the
TGV Quad Base, Beauvallon Bas/Lower, as well as Biere-En-Bas,
and Roy Scott, down at the Resort Base, are all marked
with course flag icons on the Official report below. The one
exception that is not marked on the list, but is absolutely
restricted is the lowest portion of Johannsen at the Resort
Base where the finish line and team services zones are.
It should also be noted that the Flying Mile Quad at the
Resort Base opened yesterday and for today, that may
be the most practical access to ski Nansen either by
also taking the TGV as a 2 step way to the Summit,
or by cycling the Flying Mile Quad via La Passe
to Nansen Bas/Lower.
Weather Notes:
A nice sunny ’n cool day with an even cooler overnight.
That should keep the 24Hr. Event teams focused
on a quick pace in order to work up some heat.
They are also going to need lot’s ‘o layers tonight.
Decent speed wind chill values could be in the -24C
to -28C range by midnight.

Conditions Notes:
In The Groomed:
As a compensation for reduced access to the
24 Hour Event on Sud/South Summit-to-Base
Beauvallon Haut/Upper and Bas/Lower, Tremblant
traditionally opens more Nord/North terrain and
this year is no exception with one of the biggest
single day expansions since the start of the season
with Expo Sector accessed Vanier to Duncan Bas/Lower
as well as Sissy Schuss.
As mentioned yesterday, a hugely useful asset for
Sud/South Resort Base access during the 24 Hr event
is Nansen complete, however traffic around the base
could be at a fairly high density so patience will be
required if you’re on that side.
Basically for today and tomorrow, if you are just out
for a day on the slopes, sick to Versant Nord/North
Side open terrain if you want to have the quickest
upload lift cycles.
Snowmaking Update Highlight:
Versant Soleil Sector Trail # 95, Algonquin, has had snowmaking
icons for the third day in a row so we see that as a very significant
investment in resources that may indicate the availability of that
sector opening within the next week, maybe sooner.
In The Sous Bois/Hors Piste/Glades and Un-Groomed:
At initial writing, still closed.
---- Status Update: Versant Nord/North Side Trails #64, Marie-Claude Asselin
and #65, Banzai, REOPENED. See Archival Data Attached Below.

Archival Copy Of Official Daily Message:
Bonjour Tremblant! Today marks the start of 24H Tremblant!
Some of our trails will be reserved for the event.
However, we are still pleased to offer trails from the
summit to the base on both open sides, North and South.
With the snow that has fallen in the past few days, the
skiing conditions are superb! Don't miss the chance to
cheer on the participants raising funds for children!
See you at the summit!
Please take note that the alpine touring trails are closed.
With the return of cold temperatures, snowmaking will
resume in several areas of the mountain. We plan to open
several new slopes by Sunday, including the ones dedicated
to the event this weekend: the 24h Tremblant, from
December 13 to 15.
Mountain Safety Tip of the Week : Do not block the trails
and position yourself on the side of the trail if you need to stop.
